Bündchen’s romance with the martial arts expert is not new; the pair have been together for years. Still, fans were shocked by the marriage. They were even more shocked that Tom Brady, Bündchen’s ex-husband, uploaded a cryptic post to Instagram following the breaking news. Followers probably shouldn’t have been surprised, though. Brady has kind of made a habit out of posting cryptically around his ex’s major life milestones.

Tom Brady was in his feelings over his ex-wife becoming Mrs. Valente, it seems. Just after news broke that Joaquim Valente and Gisele Bündchen said “I do,” Tom Brady took to Instagram to share some odd uploads. The father of three uploaded a thirst trap, followed by a photo of himself wearing a “Forever Young” hoodie. The stories were both posted with Logic’s “1-800-273-8255,” playing in the background. The song, whose title is a nod to the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, takes listeners through a journey of depression and suicidal ideation to hope and recovery. It felt like an oddly telling pick for Brady, considering the milestone moment for his ex-wife.
Joaquim Valente and Gisele Bündchen wed in early December at their home in Surfside, Florida. The couple went public with their romance in February 2024. They were first romantically linked in May 2023. The pair had actually met years earlier, though. While their relationship has been largely private and low-key, they are regularly spotted together, looking happy and in sync.

While the duo has opted to keep his life private, the public announcement apparently was enough to set Tom Brady off. He didn’t offer any public congratulations, nor did he outwardly acknowledge his ex-wife’s new addition. Instead, he posted a quote about love a few days after the announcement. The upload stated, “I really think the secret of being loved is to love.” E! News reported on the upload. Fans were quick to tie the cryptic upload, which deviated from his typical content, to Bündchen’s big news. He did it when she announced her pregnancy, too.
