Travis Kelce Said Taylor Swift Would ‘Kill’ Him Over a Podcast Moment
While Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are still reportedly not living together full-time, they are spending time at one another’s homes. This potentially became a problem for Kelce while recording an episode of his New Heights podcast. As he spoke to his brother, Jason Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs player damaged a chair that potentially belonged to his fiancée.
Travis Kelce joked that Taylor Swift would be angry with him after he broke a chair
In a recent episode of the New Heights podcast, Kelce laughed at a joke made by his older brother. As he leaned back in his chair, something audibly snapped beneath him, and he tipped backwards.
“Oh s***!” Jason said. “Are you alright, Trav?”
Kelce confirmed that he was unharmed. The same apparently could not be said for the chair, though.
“We’re good. F***,” he said. “Taylor’s gonna kill me!”
While he didn’t clarify why Swift would be mad at him, it’s entirely possible that he was recording from one of her homes.
Zoë Kravitz recently wreaked havoc in the singer’s home
If Kelce was recording from Swift’s home, he was not the first person to have damaged her belongings. When Swift’s friend, Zoë Kravitz, was a guest in her house during the California wildfires, her pet Burmese python got loose.
“I just remember getting a call from my head of security trying to explain this story to me, and my first question was, ‘What snake?’” Swift said on Late Night With Seth Meyers. “I was unaware of the presence of the snake.”
The snake managed to get partway into a bathroom wall. As Kravitz and her mother, Lisa Bonet, a man had to chop into a vintage cupboard so they could pull it from the wall.
“This is the chicest thing I ever heard in my life,” Swift said. “This is a YSL ad and not a problem. It just sounds incredible, I’m sad I didn’t see it.”
Swift revealed that Kravitz only told her about the situation after she’d repaired the cupboard.
“Hey, I’m just gonna tell you something that happened, now that it’s fixed,” Swift recalled Kravitz saying. “I was like, ‘You had a snake in the house and it got loose and it was in the wall, and they had to get an axe.’”
Swift said she found the situation funny enough that she couldn’t be mad at her friend.

In August 2025, Swift was a guest on Kelce’s New Heights podcast. She used the platform to announce her most recent album, The Life of a Showgirl. In her conversation with the Kelce brothers, Swift pointed out the fact that she first learned her now-fiancé liked her because of the podcast.
“This podcast has done a lot for me,” she said. “I owe a lot to this podcast. This podcast got me a boyfriend ever since Travis decided to use it as his personal dating app about two years ago.”
Kelce proposed to Swift after they recorded their episode.
