All eyes will be on the Indiana Pacers tonight as the team plays its first NBA Finals game since 2000. When you aren’t watching the action, peep Tyrese Haliburton’s shoes. He is debuting his first signature kick in game 1, but it’s not the first time he’s worn an interesting pair of sneakers. Back in April, Haliburton debuted a pair of custom kicks inspired by his dog, Ames.

In a heartwarming tribute, Haliburton debuted custom Puma All-Pro Nitro player-exclusive sneakers that were constructed to match Ames’ fur. The mini goldendoodle has a curly apricot coat. The sneakers’ upper offered the same texture and color as Ames. The tan soles and golden accents further accentuated the shoes. Haliburton shared a series of pictures on his Instagram account that showed off just how close the color match between the sneakers and Ames actually was.

Haliburton adopted the dog as a puppy with his girlfriend, Jade Jones, back in 2021. The dog has been prominently featured on Haliburton’s social media pages ever since.

The Indiana Pacers star will debut his signature shoe in Game 1

Tyrese Haliburton is known for his unique on-court kicks. He has been working with Puma as a signature athlete since 2024 and has already worked on some cool products. He has collaborated on a couple of All-Pro Nitro colorways since joining the company and has worn customs, like the ones inspired by Ames, that are not for sale. There is more to come for the point guard, though.

According to Bleacher Report, Haliburton will be debuting his first signature shoe in Game 1 of the 2025 NBA Finals. He is set to wear his Hali 1 sneaker in a hibiscus colorway when he takes the court on June 5. While Ames would probably prefer Haliburton to wear the sneakers that pay homage to him, the Hali 1 looks pretty good, too.

The sneaker features a soft pink upper with added material at the toe for durability. It features Haliburton’s signature logo and a monochromatic sole that makes the performance shoe look surprisingly sleek. While Haliburton will rock the sneakers this evening, they won’t be available to the public until September. Pricing is not yet available.
