‘Vanderpump Rules’ Fans Aren’t Happy About Rumors That a Former Cast Member is Joining a New Bravo Show
Now that Vanderpump Rules is rebooting with a new cast, the reality series’ former stars need to find a new path forward. For some, this has meant focusing on podcasting or writing books. Others are looking to jump to a new Bravo series. Fans of The Valley have vocally pushed back against Scheana Shay or Lala Kent joining the show. Now, they’re opposing Ally Lewber’s rumored move to Southern Hospitality.
‘Vanderpump Rules’ star Ally Lewber could be joining a new Bravo series
Lewber has reportedly moved from Los Angeles to Charleston after breaking up with former Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy. Since then, sources claim she has been spending time with the Southern Hospitality cast.
“Ally has filmed for the show,” a source told OK! Magazine. “She’s definitely trying to be featured on the show.”
Still, she has not joined the cast in any official manner.
“She doesn’t have a role on the show,” they said. “She won’t be a cast member.”
The source claimed Lewber is “dying to be famous.”
“She’s so thirsty she’s dehydrated,” they said. “Her family lives in Charleston, but she wants the limelight and to be a reality star so badly.”
Bravo fans aren’t happy about the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ crossover
While Lewber was a well-liked member of the Vanderpump Rules cast, she was primarily known as Kennedy’s girlfriend. Fans of the show don’t know that she would fit into another reality series.
“Good for her for getting out of LA and away from James – but I do not want to see her on other Bravo shows,” wrote one Reddit user. “She doesn’t bring anything, I can’t imagine what her storyline would be.”
“Oh god. Please don’t touch Southern Hospitality,” wrote another person. “I like Ally, but I find her to be incredibly boring.”
Some people felt Lewber was seeking fame.
“Ally is chasing a spot on reality TV,” wrote one person. “This wouldn’t be a problem if Ally wasn’t a boring and bland personality.”
They wanted to keep the show to the main cast.
“This is inauthentic,” wrote one person. “The cast are actually friends and coworkers we don’t need imports.”
In general, most people felt that Lewber is too normal for reality television.
“Ugh. I’m glad she got away from James,” wrote another person. “And she deserves to live the life she wants but she just isn’t built for reality tv. She’s too kind and gentle. Not a messy bone in that girl’s body.”
Ally Lewber has moved on from her relationship with James Kennedy
At the beginning of this year, Lewber and Kennedy confirmed their breakup after his arrest on suspicion of domestic violence. While Lewber said he did not physically hurt her, the incident made her realize she needed to leave the relationship.
“I never was physically hurt and I never felt unsafe,” she said, per People. “I think it was more just walking on eggshells and feeling anxious about, when is his next blow-up going to be? And I didn’t even realize this really until I was out of the house for a while, but just how my nervous system just feels normal again. It was always kind of anxious of making sure that he doesn’t get upset. Monitoring someone’s behavior is not healthy.”
Since then, she has reportedly moved on with a new relationship.
“She’s happy and enjoying where life is taking her,” an insider said.
