People can’t stop talking about Jay-Z‘s performance at the 2026 Roots Picnic.

The “99 Problems” artist co-headlined the annual Roots Picnic in Philadelphia and delivered a freestyle with disses aimed at Drake, Nicki Minaj, Dame Dash, Tory Lanez, and Ye (formerly Kanye West). Jay also delivered a high-energy performance at the festival with a huge setlist of his biggest hits and was joined on stage by fellow artists and Philly natives Jazmine Sullivan and Meek Mill.

But during his show, several fans started chanting for the rapper‘s wife to join him onstage.

Instead of ignoring the calls for Beyoncé, Jay let them know that Bey wouldn’t be taking the stage, telling the crowd, “She’s not working tonight.”

Mrs. Carter was at the concert though supporting her man. She made her first appearance at a private preview rehearsal. That night, Bey was seen rocking an oversized black leather jacket and styled her signature bouncy blonde curls with a deep side part.

Her mother, Tina Knowles, was also spotted during the weekend festival, as was Jay and Bey’s daughter, Blue Ivy, who was seen vibing on the side of the stage to her dad’s tracks while sporting a t-shirt with his face on it.
