Mel Owens is ready to pick his final winner on The Golden Bachelor. Spoilers, which have been few and far between his season, suggest he has found his perfect match. Mel isn’t the only member of his family who has found their next great love. As the former NFL player was wrapping up his season, his ex-wife was sealing the deal. Fabiana Pimentel, Mel Owens’ ex-wife, married her long-term partner in a private ceremony in September.

Mel Owens’ ex-wife finds love

Mel Owens’ hunt for love will conclude soon on The Golden Bachelor. There are just a few episodes left of the show’s sophomore season, and it has had its ups and downs. It actually feels like the series is just now hitting its stride, with Owens finally opening up a bit about his past. While he was opening up about his past, the woman from his past was moving on. Mel Owens was married once to a woman 19 years his junior. The pair’s divorce was finalized a few years ago, and now, Fabiana Pimentel Owens, Mel Owens’ ex-wife, has officially moved on.

Pimentel Owens married her partner in Sonoma Wine Country in September. Pimentel Owens keeps a low profile on social media, with a now-private Instagram account. Her partner, however, documented the multi-day event that appeared to be filled with fun and lots of love. The two sons Pimentel Owens shares with Mel Owens were featured in several photos.

Mel Owens opened up about his split around the time she was saying “I do.”

In an odd coincidence, Mel Owens was actually opening up on TV  about his divorce around the same time his ex was planning to head down the aisle. In late September, Owens revealed why his marriage failed, telling Nicolle Briscoe, a twice-divorced aspiring influencer, that his ex-wife had initiated divorce proceedings. Owens said that his ex had fallen in love with someone else, a confession he insists shocked him.

Owens didn’t delve into where that relationship stands now or whether Pimentel Owens was still with the person she fell for during the marriage. It has been five years since the end of their partnership, so it really could go either way. Owen did admit that it had been difficult to come to terms with, but that he ultimately didn’t wish to stand in the way of her happiness.

The 66-year-old NFL veteran and lawyer has been surprisingly tight-lipped about his former marriage. His ex-wife has largely done the same, commenting just once before the start of the season to make it clear she wanted nothing to do with Owens’ hunt for love.

Who does Mel Owens pick as his winner?

Spoilers for The Golden Bachelor season 2 have been pretty sparse. In fact, we are just now seeing some spoilers roll in as the show winds down. This week, the ladies will get their chance to speak out, and on November 5, fans will watch Owens and his two finalists head to the fantasy suites. The season will conclude on November 12, with Mel Owens presumably picking a lucky lady to move through life with.

According to Reality Steve, Owens — who was off to a slow start this season — did pick a big winner and left the series engaged. According to the professional TV spoiler, Peg Munson, a retired firefighter and bomb technician, is Owens’ final pick. Munson is from Las Vegas, Nevada, and is reportedly engaged to Owens. Fans will learn more about their present-day story during the famed After the Final Rose” episode.

Peg Munson was a fan favorite throughout the season, though not the woman viewers believed he’d end up with. Fans were rooting for Debbie Siebers, a fitness professional from Wisconsin. Siebers was eliminated last week after opening up about the tragic death of her ex. Siebers told Glamour that Owens’ energy shifted after she revealed her ex died by suicide. Initially stunned, Siebers said after watching the show, she sees things in a new light.
