Six months after Ozzy Osbourne’s death, Sharon Osbourne braved the crowds at the Grammy Awards to witness the award ceremony’s touching tribute to her late husband. While Osbourne has remained largely quiet since Ozzy’s death, it was important for her to appear at the ceremony. Yungblud, for whom Ozzy was a massive inspiration and mentor, ensured she felt included; they shared a touching moment or two at the Grammy Awards.

Yungblud and Sharon Osbourne share a special connection. Though the young British rocker found inspiration in Ozzy Osbourne, he’s remained supportive of the legend’s widow since his death. That was evident even during his Grammy win.

After winning a Grammy for the Best Rock Performance, Osbourne rushed to embrace the rocker. He quickly invited her up on stage, where he spoke warmly about his connection to the music that won him the award and the rocker who inspired him to live his dreams. Sharon Osbourne looked on in awe.

Yungblud took home the Best Rock Performance for his cover of Ozzy Osbourne’s “Changes” during the rock legend’s final concert. The concert, on July 5, drew massive crowds. Osbourne died on July 22, two weeks after his final appearance. This is the first awards season without the Black Sabbath frontman.

Yungblud and Sharon Osbourne didn’t just spend time together at the Grammys during his acceptance speech. They wer also spotted together on the red carpet, having fun and embracing.

Yungblud and Ozzy Osbourne struck up a friendship several years before Ozzy’s death at 76. He served as a mentor to the younger rocker and considered him something of a successor. In 2022, Ozzy told Yungblud that he saw a lot of himself in him. During the filming of the music video for “The Funeral,” Ozzy advised the rockstar to never apologize because people would understand him later.
