What Zac Affleck Said About ‘Cousin’ Ben Affleck Not Getting Along With Anyone Named Jennifer
It’s been more than a year since Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck, and more than six months since it was finalized. But that doesn’t mean everyone has stopped commenting on the former couple and their failed marriage. That includes Ben Affleck’s “cousin,” The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Zac Affleck.
According to US Weekly, after Zac’s wife, Jen Affleck, appeared in a hilarious Dunkin’ commercial with the Argo actor, Zac joked about their banter while poking fun at Ben’s previous relationship with Lopez, saying: “Something about Jens and Bens they can never get along.”
Jen Affleck has also referenced Ben and Lopez in the past, sharing, “I’m definitely the first Jennifer Affleck. Not only that, her middle name is the same as mine: Jennifer Lynn Affleck. I don’t know, maybe we can convert them to The Church.”
People have been buzzing for a while about Zac being related to Ben and Casey Affleck ever since Jen said on season 1 of their show that Zac’s dad, David Affleck, is second cousins with the famous actors.
However, in season 2, Zac insisted that he is not a “cousin” or related to Ben and Casey Affleck in any way, telling his wife, “I’ve heard that as a joke. No one’s ever claimed to have some kind of relationship with him besides you.”
Later in his confessional Zac admitted, “I have no idea if I am or am not related to Ben Affleck. And that had been like a running joke in my family. It had never been something serious. And so when Jen started telling people that, I did tell her, ‘I don’t think you should say that anymore. I think that’s going to backfire.'”
