Zayn Malik Reignites Feud Rumors by Seemingly Throwing Shade at Harry Styles’ Ticket Prices
Harry Styles planned tour has fans excited about seeing him in concert again. Well, fans were excited until they learned that premium tickets could cost them upwards of $1,000 each. The backlash was swift. Even Styles’ former bandmate appears to be weighing in on the topic. Zayn Malik recently made a comment about ticket prices that fans think was thinly veiled shade at Harry Styles. The off-handed comment has reignited rumors of a feud between the former One Direction members.
Zayn Malik commented on ticket prices shortly after Harry Styles’ ticket prices were criticized
Zayn Malik recently took the stage to perform in front of a massive crowd, and as is typical, he got to chatting with them. The topic of his chat has some fans assuming he’s still feuding with his former bandmate. The “Love Like This” singer took the stage in Las Vegas on January 28 and opted to thank his fans for coming out and spending some time with him. Between songs, he said he hoped the ticket prices weren’t too high, and cheekily smiled while saying, “just saying.” The comment came just hours after Harry Styles was lambasted for out-of-reach ticket prices for his latest tour.
Tickets to see Malik range in price from around $40 for low-end seats to just under $500 for premium seats for his Las Vegas residency via Ticketmaster. Styles’ tour prices vary by location and ticket tier, but premium VIP packages are priced around $1,600. Seats in less desirable sections or less popular cities can still be found for more reasonable prices, though.
Why do people think Zayn Malik and Harry Styles are feuding?
Zayn Malik’s comments about Harry Styles’ ticket prices have reignited rumors that the former bandmates are feuding. The rumors had quieted down in recent years, thanks to their careers taking them in entirely different directions, but at one point, the theory that Malik and Styles hated each other dominated the internet. The rumors began when Malik left One Direction in the middle of a tour in 2015.
Malik initially said he wanted to live as a “normal” 22-year-old, but later admitted he left because the band had grown “sick” of each other and he didn’t like their creative direction. In the years since, Malik has not been spotted spending any time with Styles, even casually. They never speak about each other, and while they briefly reunited to celebrate Liam Payne’s life, his death didn’t lead to a lasting reconnection.
While Malik and Styles have never openly discussed an ongoing feud, it’s clear that they certainly aren’t friends any longer. Malik’s latest jab is unlikely to result in renewed friendship, either.
