Amy Slaton captured fans’ hearts via 1000-Lb Sisters for two seasons. As for her age, she’s 33 years old, and her birthday is Oct. 28. Tammy is 34 years old and has a birthday on July 27. The Slaton sisters are from the small city of Dixon in Webster County, Kentucky.

While the sisters are close in age and also quite close to each other, their lives appear to be growing apart the more fans watch the show. Amy has a son, Gage, who was born in November 2020.

“It’s emotional,” she said on the show, via People. “You can’t really talk about [it] because you just love him so much you don’t have words to explain how much you love him.”

Having a baby wasn’t easy for Amy, either, as Gage was born via Cesarian section due to his breech positioning. Overall, though, the pregnancy and delivery went smoothly — but it wasn’t always easy for Tammy. Tammy noted she had a range of emotions associated with Amy’s pregnancy, as it came soon after Amy’s weight-loss surgery.

“I was mad and sad and worried about her health and safety since it was so soon after her [weight-loss] surgery,” Tammy shared.

The 1000-Lb Sisters stars adore their fans, and they never imagined they’d have so many viewers care about their day-to-day lives. With that said, they still want their personal privacy respected. And Amy Slaton issued a scolding via YouTube regarding some behavior from fans she didn’t appreciate.

On March 19, 2021, Amy posted a video initially thanking fans for sending gifts to Gage. Then, she got into the real message. “There have been people taking pictures with me in public, which is OK,” she explained. “Ya’ll can come up to us in public. We’re more than happy to take a picture with you. But, do not come to our house.”

Amy then explained some fans are sending items directly to her home. This shouldn’t happen, as she has a P.O. box. “It’s extremely disrespectful and unsafe,” she added. “This house should feel like a home. I shouldn’t have to worry about my son in our house.”
