‘1000-Lb Sisters’ Season 3 Premiere Date Finally Revealed and It’s Sooner Than You Think
Fans fell in love with Tammy and Amy Slaton long before they even had a TV show. Since their YouTube channels landed them 1000-lb Sisters, fans have been extremely invested in both sisters and their journeys to get healthy. Earlier this year, it was announced that the show would get a third season. Now, sources have revealed when 1000-lb Sisters Season 3 will premiere.
Fans lobbied for a season 3
Fans have been rooting for Tammy and Amy from the start, which is why they started a petition to get the show renewed for a third season.
“There’s an overwhelmingly huge fan base for Amy & Tammy Slaton on 1000-Lb Sisters and we want to secure seasons 3 & 4 to be renewed ASAP. We also would like to see a bigger budget for the show. This is a lot of people’s favorite show on television and we are concerned about renewal,” the Change.org petition reads.
The petition got over 6,000 signatures. Then, in March, it was announced that the show would be renewed.
“Tammy and Amy Slaton have captivated us with their fun-loving personalities, heartfelt challenges, and uplifting victories,” Alon Orstein, SVP Production and Development at TLC said, according to Deadline. “We admire their genuine, evolving journeys and we are rooting for them as they pursue paths toward healthier lifestyles.”
When will ‘1000-lb Sisters’ Season 3 premiere?
Fans have known that 1000-lb Sisters Season 3 would come out in 2022 for a while. Tammy revealed that much in a TikTok earlier this year.
“Season 3 don’t come out until next year,” she said. “It takes a year to film cause we got to find locations.
“You gotta find places they will let you film for everything we do,” she continued. “Let’s say we went to a grocery store. We may have to find a grocery store that’s like one person owned and not like a sister store or a franchise like Walmart. So like and they gotta edit after they get all the filming done. So it’s gonna be a while.”
But now, we have a more exact date. According to TV Season & Spoilers, Tammy recently responded to a fan’s comment and revealed that the show is set to premiere in Jan 2022.
What will happen on ‘1000-lb Sisters’ Season 3?
Tammy revealed months ago that she and Amy were already filming season 3. While no one knows exactly what the season will showcase, we do know some of what has been going on with the Slaton sisters during this time.
After season 2, Tammy and her boyfriend Jerry Sykes broke up because he felt guilty about cheating on his wife. After the breakup, Tammy began dating a TikTok user named “thebbwking,” who claimed to only like women over 300 lbs. The man appeared in several of Tammy’s videos on TikTok and the two seemed to be happy for a while. Fans noticed trouble in paradise when Tammy started hanging out with other men and stopped posting her beau. The two have since broken up.
As thebbwking seemed to be an important part of Tammy’s life for a little while, he may make an appearance on the show.
Amy, on the other hand, has been focused on raising her new son, Gage, according to her Instagram posts. So, fans are sure to see her mothering journey on 1000-lb Sisters Season 3.
