Fans of 1000-lb Sisters have been rejoicing since news broke that the TV show was going to be renewed for another season. Since then, Tammy Slaton revealed that she and her sister, Amy Slaton, are already filming 1000-lb Sisters Season 3. Tammy gained weight on ‘1000-lb Sisters’ Season 2

Fans have been worried about Tammy’s weight progress since the show first started. While Amy lost enough weight to get weight-loss surgery after season 1, Tammy continued to gain weight. In her final weigh-in of the season, she actually gained over 20 pounds.

“I just wasn’t doing what I needed to do. I mean, sometimes I try to eat healthier, and then other days I’m like, ‘What the heck’s the point?’” she told the doctor.

But the good news was that though Tammy gained weight, she finally admitted to having an unhealthy relationship with food, which her doctor believed was the first step in improving her health.

“You could’ve blamed [that] you couldn’t get out of bed. You could’ve blamed that you had COVID. And you could’ve blamed that you were in the hospital. And you didn’t,” he said. “And believe it or not, that’s a step forward from where you’ve been in the past. So you just made progress even though your weight went up.”

Tammy answers ‘1000-lb Sisters’ Season 3 rumors

In March, it was announced that the Slaton sisters would be back for season 3. Recently, Tammy has been seen wearing a face mask in a lot of her videos on TikTok, which made some fans wonder whether she was wearing it to hide her face and any potential weight loss before the season 3 premiere.

“Tammy are you not still filming?” one person on TikTok asked when Tammy stopped wearing her masks in videos. “I thought you were wearing masks to conceal face weight for filming? Just curious.”

Tammy filmed a response video to the comment.

‘1000-Lb Sisters’ Season 3 Confirmed, Tammy and Amy Slaton Are Back

“Sorry y’all, I’m in the dark,” Tammy said. “Yes, we are filming for season 3, but no, I wasn’t wearing a mask to hide my face. I was wearing it because of COVID, like, I ain’t trying to get sick again. It’s all good. To answer your question, I’m not trying to hide my face or hide my fat or whatever people think. I was really wearing it because I had to.”

After season 2, Tammy revealed on the 1000-lb Sisters YouTube channel that she did come down with COVID and was hospitalized for two weeks. Since then, the reality star has had oxygen tubes in her nose for several of her TikToks and videos. While filming 1000-lb Sisters Season 3, Tammy has tried to remain safe by wearing a mask while the film crew is around.
