Season 2 of 1000-Lb Sisters is over, but fans are still left with plenty of questions regarding Tammy and Amy Slaton. The Slaton sisters first achieved fame via YouTube, and they later got their own TLC show to follow their journey into weight loss. So, where do the sisters live, and where is the show filmed? Here’s what we know.

Where do the ‘1000-Lb Sisters’ live?

Tammy and Amy Slaton reside in Kentucky, The Cinemaholic reports. The Slaton sisters film in the small city of Dixon in Webster County, as that’s where they’re from — and the area is quite small. The city is only around 1.26 square miles in total.

This isn’t the only filming location for the show, though. The publication notes a lot of the filming for 1000-Lb Sisters happens in Georgia. Dr. Charles Procter Jr. is one of the best bariatric surgeons in the country, and the Slaton sisters consult with him frequently. His office is in Atlanta, Georgia, which is about a five hour drive for Tammy and Amy.

The show isn’t the first time TLC fans have seen Dr. Procter, either. Distractify notes he also appeared in Family By the Ton, a show about three cousins losing weight. He’s now become one of the most famous bariatric surgeons in the country thanks to his multiple appearances on reality TV.

Is ‘1000-Lb Sisters’ over? What about season 3 for the Slaton sisters?

Fans of 1000-Lb Sisters just saw the season 2 finale of the show. But what about season 3? While fans would love for TLC to renew the series for another season, it looks like it’s still up in the air. Even the season 2 renewal wasn’t set in stone for quite some time. According to TV Shows Ace, Tammy and Amy Slaton shared with fans that season 2 wouldn’t happen, though, in the end, TLC made it work.

As for season 3, fans already started asking the Slaton sisters if they can expect to see them on the small screen again. And Tammy took to TikTok to answer some fans — but it seems she has no idea what’s happening with another season, either. More specifically, Tammy noted that if another season happened, she’s not sure if she’d be a part of it. But fans certainly can’t imagine a season with just Amy alone, so we may have to wait and find out what means.

So, what occurred in the 1000-Lb Sisters finale? It looks like Amy has upsetting expectations for Tammy. Amy sat with Chris Combs, her brother, and the two worried about Tammy’s health. According to Soap Dirt, Amy noted she’d be the one to eventually bury her sister — and it seemed she thought it’d be sooner rather than later.

Chris also noted he bought three burial plots. One of them was for their mom, and the other two were for Tammy. Tammy reportedly needed two plots due to her size.

Not only that, but Tammy also contracted coronavirus (COVID-19), which deeply worried her family. While Tammy’s situation seemed dire at first, it looks like her condition improved. “I was in the hospital for just about two weeks. …  I’m doing great,” Tammy explained on YouTube. “I mean yes, I’m on oxygen. That’s just to keep my lungs sturdy, strength — I won’t be on oxygen much longer. I was on 15 liters of oxygen and now I’m on three.”

No matter what, we’re wishing the Slaton sisters the best and hope to see more of them in the future!
