Broadway shows have taken a heavy blow during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The theaters of the Great White Way closed their doors in March, and on Oct. 9, it was announced they would remain closed until June 2021 at the earliest.

Thankfully for theater lovers, there are a handful of Broadway shows that have been recorded in front of a live audience. Some shows were recorded and distributed on VHS and DVD in the 1990s and early 2000s, like Cats and RENT. More recently, shows like Hamilton and Newsies were recorded for theatrical release (although Hamilton got a Disney+ release instead because of the pandemic).

Between the various streaming platforms and YouTube, theater lovers will be delighted to learn they can watch the following Broadway shows online.
