‘Naked and Afraid XL’ premieres on May 1, 2022

How do you feel about survival reality TV shows? What about being naked? If you’re into both of those things, we have the show for you. Naked and Afraid XL combines your regular survival-type shows and tosses in the extra challenge of doing it all in the nude.

Discovery says, “In the Next Level challenge, the survivalists are splitting into two different missions – eight XL rookies look to conquer 40 days, while four All-Stars try to become Legends by making it 60 days.”

Tune in to the Discovery Channel on May 1. The fun starts at 8:00 p.m. EST.

‘Lil Jon Wants To Do What?’ got his own reality TV show on HGTV

When you think of HGTV, we doubt your first thought involves legendary rapper Lil John. (YEAAAHHHH!) However, as we’ve heard for the past two years, these are unprecedented times, and unprecedented times call for Lil John on a home improvement reality TV show.

Lil Jon works with designer Anitra Mecadon to “[help] skeptical homeowners who feel trapped in a boring home find their design wild side with startlingly unconventional renovation ideas that seem impossible to execute,” according to HGTV.

The first episode premieres on May 2 at 10:00 p.m. EST.

‘Who Do You Believe?’ on ABC will thrill true crime lovers

True crime is one of the most popular genres out there at the moment. However, we’re all used to hearing only the victim’s side of the story. What happens when you throw the accused into the mix? You end up with ABC’s upcoming series Who Do You Believe?

ABC’s description of the upcoming reality TV show reads, “In each episode, the audience steps into the shoes of two contrasting narratives to hear the recounts directly from the victims and criminals with never-before-revealed details. Then the viewer plays armchair detective to deduce and piece together different versions of the truth. There are two sides to every story – and there’s no telling how far one would go for their marriage, child or way of life.”

If you feel like testing out your lie-detecting skills, tune in to ABC on May 3 at 10:00 p.m. EST.

Netflix brings us another season of the reality TV show ‘The Circle’

The Circle allows self-proclaimed social media masters to use their skills to outwit, con, and catfish all the other players to be the last one standing. With a cash prize at stake, it’s no hold barred for the contestants who are willing to do whatever it takes to walk away with the money.

If you plan on binge-watching this one, think again. The Circle will follow in the footsteps of Netflix’s previous reality TV shows like Love is Blind and The Ultimatum and drop only four episodes a week. Catch the first four on May 4, 2022.

‘The Big Conn’ recounts the tale of scammer Eric C. Conn

Reality TV shows outlining outrageous scams like The Dropout and Inventing Anna have been a big hit lately. That’s why we think The Big Conn is an upcoming reality TV show you should add to your list. Streaming on Apple TV+ on May 6, The Big Conn “tells the unbelievable true story of the larger-than-life attorney, Eric C. Conn, who defrauded the government over half a billion dollars in the largest Social Security fraud case in history.”
