We’ve been watching MTV’s The Challenge for years, and it’s hard to believe some competitors have been playing the game for over a decade. Cara Maria Sorbello is one of the most notorious players, too. She’s proven to be a physical threat in eliminations, and her connections over the years typically keep her safe thanks to her social gameplay.

Sorbello’s likability has led her to multiple relationships on the show as well. She’s currently dating fellow competitor Paulie Calafiore, and the two seem to be going strong. It looks like another Challenge contestant is hoping for his chance to be with Sorbello, however. Here’s what the contestant commented on Sorbello’s Instagram, and how she responded.

Cara Maria Sorbello has a history of dating ‘Challenge’ contestants

Sorbello was always known as the contestant who marched to the beat of her own drum. And she found companionship with Abram Boise, a Challenge competitor known for his incredible physical fitness and short temper. The two started dating in 2010 during the Cutthroat season, and they were on and off for years following their first foray into romance. But it was Sorbello’s cheating scandal that was the final straw for their relationship.

During Battle of the Bloodlines in 2016, Sorbello sought companionship with Thomas Buell despite still being with Boise, who was back home. While she didn’t think Boise would find out, he was brought on the show to replace a competitor who was sent home. And from there, major drama ensued. But Sorbello made it clear when talking to her cousin that she was ready for her relationship to be over.

After Boise, Sorbello then had a relationship with British Challenge star Kyle Christie. They met during Vendettas back in 2018, but their relationship totally fell apart once they left the show. Now, Sorbello and Christie are sworn enemies.

She’s currently still with Paulie Calafiore

Despite her sordid past, Sorbello hasn’t given up on finding love on the show just yet. After her breakup with Christie, Sorbello sought comfort in Calafiore’s presence.

“I really liked him, I was drawn to him. When I was going through all that crap with Kyle he took me into the living room and danced with me, he just made me happy,” Sorbello told the publication Betches. “He was somebody whose energy I wanted to be around. And he knew everything about me and Kyle.”

This wasn’t a drama-free relationship, either, though. Calafiore was cheating on his girlfriend, Danielle Maltby, when he and Sorbello first began their romance. And while Sorbello thought Calafiore cut things off with, such wasn’t the case.

“Me and Danielle stand together. We are coming out with our story for no other reason than to hopefully stop this from happening to another girl,” Sorbello told People back in December 2018.

Despite the drama, Sorbello and Calafiore patched things up and are still together in 2020.

One competitor from the show is begging her for a chance

If Calafiore and Sorbello decide to break things off, it looks like yet another Challenge competitor is waiting in the wings. Nehemiah Clark won The Gauntlet III back in 2008, and he also competed on The Duel, Duel II, and most recently, Rivals in 2011. And now, he’s leaving flirty messages on Sorbello’s Instagram post that shows her in modeling photos she took for Barstool Sports.

“Been beautiful since day 1,” Clark commented on Sorbello’s post.

To that, she responded, “love you nehmo!”

He commented back again, “love you. Im gonna sweep you off your feet one day.” And when another follower commented to Clark that Sorbello is taken, he wrote back, “I know. I’ll wait,” along with a sad emoji face.

It doesn’t look like Calafiore made any comments on the photos. And we’re betting if Sorbello dates Clark, many fans would support. We doubt it’ll happen anytime soon, but who knows what the future holds!
