Is ‘A Million Little Things’ renewed for season 5?

ABC did not renew A Million Little Things for a season 5 yet. However, that doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen. ABC announced the show’s renewal in May in past years, so there’s still time. Additionally, the network gave DJ Nash the green light not to conclude the series with the season 4 finale. So, either the series ends on a massive cliffhanger with no answers, or it moves into another season.

“Everyone pushed for us to not finish up the story,” Nash explained to TV Insider. “I am excited for what Season 5 would be. I talked to people recently about do we shoot one scene that wraps things up? Or what? Everyone has really pushed for us to stick to this cliffhanger. The way the writers’ room [tells] that story is really, really moving. I was there for the shooting of the finale, and it’s some of the best performances I’ve seen from this cast.”

Will’ A Million Little Things’ be renewed?

The question every fan wants to know is whether or not ABC will renew A Million Little Things for season 5. The answer to that question varies widely. Deadline calls the series “a true bubble show,” giving it 50-50 odds at renewal versus cancellation. However, Showbiz Cheat Sheet believes A Million Little Things is likely to get a renewal for season 5.

The show is a considerable gainer in delayed viewership, similar to Big Sky. In November 2021, ABC reported that the show broke records with its fourth season. The viewership jumped by 250% when delayed viewership was added to the live same-day ratings.

ABC also gave A Million Little Things season 4 more episodes than ever before. That alone is a good sign. Add that to the fact that the network asked Nash not to conclude the series with the season 4 finale, and it looks like a renewal is on the horizon.
