Rush Limbaugh is known as one of the most well-known voices of conservative radio. He died on Feb. 17, 2021, at the age of 70 due to lung cancer, and he’s survived by his wife, Kathryn Adams Limbaugh. So, what is the age difference between Rush Limbaugh and his wife? Here’s what we know.

While Rush has made a name for himself due to his controversial views, few pay attention to the woman by his side. So, who is Kathryn, and how did she meet her husband? It turns out Kathryn isn’t involved in politics and instead makes her living as an events planner, The Sun reports. This is also how the two allegedly met. Kathryn planned a charity golf event Rush attended back in 2004, and they connected after that.

There were a few road blocks for Rush and Kathryn when they first met, though. Rush was married to Marta Fitzgerald when he met Kathryn, though, of course, they divorced later on.

By 2010, Rush and Kathryn were married. They reportedly got Elton John to perform at their wedding for $1 million. While they didn’t participate in the same type of work, they worked together on a children’s book series titled Adventures of Rush Revere.

How old is Rush Limbaugh? How old is his wife?

So what was Rush Limbaugh’s age at the time of his death? He was 70 years old. And it was Kathryn who announced his death on his radio show, CNN reports.

“As so many of you know, losing a loved one is terribly difficult, even more so when that loved one is larger than life,” Kathryn said. “Rush will forever be the greatest of all time.”

Back in February 2020, Rush announced his advanced lung cancer diagnosis, but he remained in high spirits. While undergoing treatment, he remained with his radio show and kept his fans apprised of his condition.

As for Kathryn, there’s quite an age difference between her and Rush. She’s 44, meaning there’s a 26 year age gap between them. When the two tied the knot, Kathryn was just 33 years old.

What is Conservative Radio Host Rush Limbaugh’s Net Worth in 2020?

While Kathryn was Rush’s last wife, it certainly wasn’t his only marriage. Rush was married three times prior to Kathryn. Rush’s first marriage was to Roxy Maxine McNeely, and it lasted from 1977 to 1980, The Sun reports. They divorced over “incompatibility.”

Rush married his second wife, Michelle Sixta, in 1983. Unfortunately, this also obviously ended in divorce. The two went their separate ways in 1990, and Sixta remarried a year after her divorce from Rush.

Finally, Rush’s third marriage was to Fitzgerald. According to Palm Beach Daily News, the two met after Fitzgerald contacted Rush via email in the ’90s — and the rest is history. The two tied the knot in 1994 and were married for a decade before parting ways in 2004.

It looks like Rush’s age difference between himself and Kathryn was the biggest of all of his four wives, too. We’ll be interested to see what Kathryn continues to do as she moves forward without Rush by her side.
