All 5 ‘Twilight’ Movies Are Coming to Netflix in July — Here’s How to Watch Them in Order

Twilight fans, it’s time to get excited. More than a decade after the Twilight Saga debuted in theaters, all five movies are coming to Netflix. Over the years, the vampire-themed franchise has popped up on basic cable for random weekend movie marathons.

But now, it’s found a new, permanent home with the streaming giant. For those who have just discovered Stephenie Meyer’s books — and for those completely new to the entire franchise — here’s how you can watch the Twilight movies in order.

‘Twilight’ is the first film in the franchise saga

The first book in Meyer’s young adult series is Twilight, and that’s also the name of the first film. Released in 2008, Twilight follows Isabella Swan (Kristen Stewart) as she moves from Phoenix, Arizona, to Forks, Washington, to live with her dad.

As soon as she arrives in the small, sleepy town, Bella becomes captivated by the mysterious Cullen family. Specifically, she can’t get enough of Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). The pair eventually starts dating. But, it’s not long before Bella realizes that her new boyfriend isn’t human.

The second film is titled ‘New Moon’

By the end of the first movie, Bella and the Cullens had established a strong bond. But as soon as the second film — titled New Moon — begins, that bond is broken. On her birthday, Bella gets a paper cut, which causes Edward’s bloodthirsty brother Jasper to lunge toward her.

Edward then dumps Bella, and his family leaves town with almost zero explanation. Left miserable and alone, Bella sparks the famous Twilight love triangle by running into the arms of her childhood friend, Jacob (Taylor Lautner).

When Edward eventually returns to Forks, fans must quickly decide if they are Team Edward or Team Jacob.

The story goes to a whole new level in the third ‘Twilight’ movie

Eclipse is movie number three in the Twilight Saga, and this is where they take the story to another level. At the direction of the evil red-headed vampire Victoria, a group of newborn vampires is after Bella.

The love triangle escalates as Jacob and Bella share an angry kiss on the top of a mountain during a vampire war. This is also the movie where Edward proposes to Bella. For most fans, Eclipse is the best movie and book in the saga.

The fourth movie is a bit controversial

The fourth movie in the Twilight Saga is 2011’s Breaking Dawn: Part 1. Which is all about Bella and Edward’s wedding, and the preparations for her transformation. Many fans believe the quality of the movie made it a step down in quality, from Eclipse.

After a dream wedding and a tropical honeymoon, an unexpected surprise leads Edward and Bella to have to make a life or death decision.

The ‘Twilight’ saga ends on a sour note

The long-awaited battle against the Volturi eventually happens in the final third of the movie —Breaking Dawn Part 2. But, the twist at the end didn’t go over well with many fans. No spoilers here, but one of the questions book fans will be discussing after the initial viewing of the movie franchise is the story’s ending.
