American Horror Story Season 10, Double Feature, is well on its way — but fans are still intrigued by what’s going to happen with the rest of American Horror Stories. The Ryan Murphy spinoff show has a new plot for every episode, and episode 4 featured influencers and a bad Santa Clause. It seems a new riddle printed on a gift bag also points to the plots of future episodes in the season. Here’s what fans noticed.

[Spoiler alert: Possible spoilers ahead for American Horror Stories Season 1 Episodes 4, 5, 6, and 7.]

‘American Horror Stories’ Episode 4 features a murderous Santa Clause

The first two episodes of the spinoff series featured the infamous “murder house” from AHS season 1. The third episode’s plot revolved around a cursed drive-in movie theater. Finally, American Horror Stories Episode 4, titled “The Naughty List,” showed a murderous Santa Clause taking out young male social media influencers.

Variety explains the influencers in episode 4 lived in the “Bro House” where they can create their content. Days before Christmas, Zinn (Nico Greetham), Wyatt (Charles Melton), James (Dyllón Burnside), and Barry (Kevin McHale) started creating a variety of unsuccessful content online. One of their last attempts at building their viewership was posting a video showing them harassing a mall Santa Clause and elves.

Unfortunately, this backfired. It turns out, the young influencers videotaped a fake mall Santa who was actually wanted for murder. Chaos — and death — ensued, and it was all streamed online. Danny Trejo was the standout performer in the episode, as he played the killer Santa out for revenge.

Gifts given to the crew tease the plots for the remaining episodes in the season

Fans of American Horror Stories noticed the wrap gifts given to the crew contained a riddle pointing to the plots for the remainder of the season. A Reddit user posted a photo of the gifts.

The gifts contained this riddle on a card: “The house is open but do not go. Drive-ins playing — don’t watch the show. Santa walks in bloody snow. Babies come and husbands go. Creatures eat those they know. The house is gone … but is it tho? You, our friends, survived the show. Time to go.”

The first three sentences relate to the first four episodes. “Babies come and husbands go” teases the plot for episode 5. “Creatures eat those they know” teases episode 6. “The house is gone … but is it tho?” teases the finale, episode 7.

Episode 5, “Ba’al,” is about a woman doing the “unthinkable” to get pregnant, according to Hidden Remote. And spoiler account ahs.doublefeature notes episode 6 is titled “Feral” and will revolve around creatures preying on campers in the woods.

So, what’s in store for the American Horror Stories finale? Given the clue on the wrap gifts, it seems “the house” refers to the murder house in season 1 of AHS and the first two episodes of Stories. Other spoilers suggest murder house will return as the set for the final episode — and it will burn to the ground.

“SPOILERS: Based on set reports, the finale of American Horror Stories will see the destruction of the Murder House — by fire!” AHSCrave Instagram reported.

While Murphy originally planned to have Stories last 16 episodes in its debut season, it seems this plan was cut short. Now, it seems the spinoff’s debut will only have seven episodes total. Perhaps that’s due to Double Feature premiering at the end of August.
