Fans have anxiously awaited more information on American Horror Story Season 10. Murphy noted the season would be called Double Feature because two separate plots would unfold in the same season. “Two horrifying stories, one season,” a promo video posted back in March 2021 revealed. “One by the sea, one by the sand. More to come ….”

Now, the new trailer gives even more context into what fans may see. The trailer opens with a shot of the shoreline — the sand and the sea — and a lighthouse. Then, the video changes to a shot of two monsters back to back. One of the monsters appears human with razor-sharp teeth. The other monster is an alien.

The rest of the trailer shows bits and pieces of both monsters. The human with the sharp teeth appears to be of the sea. The alien looks like it’s performing a medical procedure on someone, or something, on an operating table. It also looks like both monsters will join forces at some point, as the teaser notes “two worlds collide.”

The titles of part 1 and part 2 of the season

So, what are the names of parts one and two of American Horror Story Season 10? The trailer notes part one is titled “Red Tide.”

“Red Tide” falls in line with the rumored title of episode 1, “Cape Fear.” It looks like fans will get to see the sea storyline first, as predicted. “Cape Fear” is rumored to take place in Provincetown, Massachusetts — a Cape Cod spot known for the “Black Flash” urban legend. The fanged creature in the trailer we’ll see in part one of the new season might be in reference to the folklore.

Part two of the season is titled “Death Valley.” Given what Murphy said in the past, plus the clue in the trailer, it’s clear “Death Valley” will have the sand theme and the aliens as the monster. Many have theorized extraterrestrial activity has taken place in America’s deserts, so it looks like the season may touch on this. Additionally, it’s clear by the way the alien washes up on shore toward the end of the teaser that the two concepts will intertwine.
