Are Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen Still Hosting New Year’s Eve? How to Watch the Pair Ring in 2021

If we’re lucky, 2021 “might not suck.” At least, that’s what Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen are hoping as they head into their fourth time co-hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve broadcast. Though the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic means that crowds won’t be gathering in New York’s Times Square to watch the ball drop, Cooper and Cohen will be on hand to help you ring in 2021 at home.

While there won’t be throngs of revelers on the streets of New York City, there will be the usual live performances and celebrity appearances. CNN’s Ana Cabrera, Stephanie Elam, Randi Kaye, Richard Quest, Gary Tuchman, and Bill Weir will also be checking in from locations around the world. At 12:30 a.m. ET, Cooper and Cohen will sign off and Don Lemon and Brooke Baldwin will take over the broadcast.

Cohen promoted his and Cooper’s year-ending bash on social media with a video that featured the pair in a choreographed song-and-dance routine. Apparently, getting the more reserved Cooper to embrace his theatrical side was a challenge. After one fan asked the Watch What Happens Live host how he convinced Cooper to participate, Cohen replied, “the whole experience has been a JOURNEY!”
