Ashton Kutcher Said He Wouldn’t Have Married Demi Moore if He Knew This One Thing About Her

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher shared a tumultuous relationship that lasted from 2003-2011.
And although they shared many loving moments together, their romance ultimately ended up in flames.

According to Moore’s memoir, Inside Out, Kutcher told her that he most likely wouldn’t have gotten involved with her if he knew this one thing about Moore.

As the Ghost star reveals in her memoir, she became quite codependent with Kutcher. She even claims that she became “addicted” to her former lover and that she’d neglect her children as a result.

“I was addicted to him,” she writes. “And I did all the things that addicts do. I prioritized my addiction over my needs and the needs of my family. I made strange, unconvincing justifications for my behavior- and his.”

And unfortunately, this behavior led to the downfall of her family.

“I had held the family together as a pillar, and the pillar was crumbling.”

According to Moore’s memoir, Kutcher once told her he didn’t know if he would have gotten involved with her if he knew about the lack of privacy she received in her everyday life. The amount of paparazzi and press that would stalk them led to a lot of discomfort and pain for both parties.

And according to Moore, she tried her best to warn Kutcher about how his life would be affected once they started going out.

“I knew from day one that if Ashton and I got together, it would be a feeding frenzy,” says Moore. “It was just too juicy with our age difference, with me having been out of the public eye and Ashton being very much in it at that moment because Punk’d was such a thing. I tried to warn him about what was coming if we became a couple. I told him, ‘You will be followed. They will be everywhere. That ease of movement you’re used to? It will be a thing of the past.’ But he didn’t really take it in. How could he?”

Furthermore, she says, “He later confessed that if he’d fully grasped what it would be like, he might never have gotten involved with me.”

As Moore reveals in her memoir, the reason their marriage came crumbling was due to Kutcher’s cheating scandals. According to the St. Elmo’s Fire star, her former husband had a public affair with two different women. And the worst part was that Kutcher barely showed any remorse.

She writes in her memoir,

“He didn’t really want to work on our relationship. Ashton didn’t want us to have sex or be physical anymore. He was done. I was still very much in our marriage, but I was in it alone now.”
