ATEEZ will release ‘ZERO : FEVER Part.2’ in March

ATEEZ debuted in 2018 with KQ Entertainment. The band has 8 members: Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho. Since debuting, they have grown from a rookie group to one of the most popular groups in K-pop.

On Feb. 4, ATEEZ shared an image on social media that teased something would drop on March 1. The next day on Feb. 5, the band shared another teaser photo that read “I’m the one in my zone.” The caption for the second teaser photo said, “We don’t need nothing Come by my side now.”

After releasing two teaser photos, ATEEZ released a bright concept photo with Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Wooyoung, and Jongho on Feb. 6. The concept photo revealed that the teasers were for the band’s next album ZERO : FEVER Part.2 and that it will be released on March 1.

Mingi is currently taking a temporary break from the K-pop group

In November 2020, KQ Entertainment revealed that Mingi began experiencing psychological anxiety. The label released a statement that the rapper planned to take a break from the band to focus on his health.

“Hello, this is KQ Entertainment. We have some unfortunate news to share about the health of ATEEZ’s Mingi,” the statement read according to Soompi.

KQ Entertainment continued, “Recently, Mingi had begun to experience psychological anxiety, which he had never experienced before. He discussed his symptoms with the agency and went to the hospital to get tested and diagnosed. As a result, the doctor recommended that he needed to get plenty of rest and stability.”

In a new statement, KQ Entertainment shared that Mingi is making progress in his recovery.

“… ahead of the release of this album, we spoke to Mingi, his parents, and the psychology counselor about the state of his recovery and him resuming activities, and it was agreed that there has been much progress through the counseling treatment,” the company said according to Soompi.

While Mingi has improved, he will not take part in promotions for ATEEZ’s upcoming album. Because the album was recorded before his hiatus began, Mingi’s vocals will be present on ZERO : FEVER Part.2.

“ATEEZ will be promoting with seven members rather than as the full group with all eight members,” said KQ Entertainment. “However, the recording for all the songs on the new album was finished before he halted activities, and so you will be able to hear Mingi’s voice in the songs.”

Leading up to the album’s release on March 1, ATINY can expect more teasers to be dropped over the coming weeks. KQ Entertainment will also update fans on Mingi’s status and when he plans to return to the group’s activities.
