Bachelor in Paradise is no stranger to drama but normally that drama goes down between contestants. Recently, one of the contestants landed in some hot water with guest host Lance Bass. Bass and Connor Brennan rarely interacted on the show, but in real life, things seem to be a bit tense between the two.

Why are Connor Brennan and Lance Bass feuding after ‘Bachelor in Paradise’?

So, basically, all of the drama started when Lance went on The Viall Files and accused Connor of going on the show for the wrong reasons.

“You can tell he’s a very sweet guy but I’m not convinced he’s there to find love,” Lance said.” I definitely see him on there trying to start his country career like a lot of people do on that show.”

Lance referenced one conversation that he had had with Connor specifically.

“I had watched the Bachelorette season and they had never seen an episode yet because they were filming when they started it,” Lance said. “So I had seen the first few episodes so I knew exactly what went down, I knew the Thomas story and all that. And [Connor] was like, ‘Wait did my song make it? Did my song make it?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, I think your song made it.’ But that was like the only thing he was concerned about, was if his song made the cut.”

What does Connor have to say?

Connor took to Twitter shortly after the interview went live with a message for his haters.

“He’s there for his music’ ‘enough with the uke’ ‘ugh he’s cringey and annoying’ – f–k OFF and let me play my dumb little songs for people; it’s my way to try and bring a little joy. Kindness is free #BachelorInParadise,” he tweeted.

Connor’s mom also jumped on Twitter to defend him.

“Sad oat this is mom,” she wrote, referencing Connor’s Twitter name. “I retweeted this and I don’t even know how to Twitter! Musicians play music because it’s in their heart and it’s their gift to the world. It is who you are! Play your heart out! I am proud of your talent and even prouder of your kind heart.”

Connor was obviously touched by his mom’s words.

“My mom made a Twitter just to say something nice to me, truly I am one of the luckiest kids on the planet,” he wrote.

How long will Lance Bass be the host of ‘Bachelor in Paradise?’

This season, there will be a number of celebrities hosting Bachelor in Paradise. Before Lance, David Spade was the host for two episodes of the show. So, if Lance is following in the same format, he will most likely only stick around for two episodes of the show.

Despite his gig this summer just being a guest role, Lance is down to take on the job permanently.

“They’ve not asked me [to be the permanent host], and of course that’s going to depend on Bachelor Nation out there,” Bass told Entertainment Tonight. “I’m a part of Bachelor Nation, so I understand how volatile we can get. We’re very opinionated.
