Bachelor Nation can rejoice as Bachelor in Paradise‘s Tia Booth is officially engaged. Booth made her first appearance on Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s season of The Bachelor, and she later had two stints in Paradise. But she just found herself a fiancé outside of the franchise. Now that they’re engaged, here’s what to know about Tia Booth and Taylor Mock.
How did Tia Booth meet Taylor Mock? The ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ star didn’t meet him on TV
Tia Booth and Taylor Mock didn’t meet on Bachelor in Paradise Season 7. Before heading on to Paradise, Booth met Mock at a party in Nashville. When Mock originally tried to make a move, Booth was set on going back to Paradise, thus, she turned him down. “He got the balls one day to try to hit on me and get me to hang out with him, and I was like, ‘Sweetie, I’m going on Bachelor in Paradise. I’ll see you later,'” she told the Click Bait podcast, according to Bachelor Nation.
But when she returned, she realized Mock was still around — so, she gave dating him a shot.
“We didn’t even have a proper first date,” she said. “He was still trying to wear me down, and finally I was like, ‘I’m in a good mood today. If you want to come hang with me at my house, I have errands to do and stuff to do at my house, but if you want to come hang with me while I do that, OK.’ And that was the first time we hung out just us.”
So, who is Taylor Mock? According to LinkedIn, he’s an assistant project manager at Franklin Construction Group and went to Arizona State University. He and Mock both live in Nashville presently.

“It’s hard to put into words how you truly feel about someone you love,” he captioned the post. “I guess I’ll keep it as simple as I’ve never felt more alive than when I’m with you. With that being said I still had to make fun of you, hope everyone enjoys the last two slides.”
The same day, Booth posted a video of moments between her and Mock. “Not gonna lie — it’s been nice keeping this to myself, but it’s about time y’all know too,” she captioned the video.
Leading up to their engagement, it seems like the couple spent a ton of time together. Mock’s Instagram is full of photos of him with Booth. His most recent set of photos, posted on March 30, 2022, includes Booth smiling while standing next to a truck full of flowers.

Now, Tia Booth and Taylor Mock are officially in wedding-planning mode. The couple got engaged during the Atlanta stop for “Bachelor Live on Stage,” according to Us Weekly. Mock got down on knee on April 10, 2022, and proposed to Booth during the tour.
“Are you kidding me?” Booth asked, shocked, before accepting the ring.
“No date card for you, Tia, you got the d*mn ring,” host Becca Kufrin joked afterward.
Later on Kufrin took to her Instagram Stories to share the news of the engagement. “OK, Tia and Taylor, we’re getting married!” Kufrin exclaimed with Mock and Booth screaming in the background. “Show off the ring! Show that baby off!” Kufrin continued as Booth showed the ring to the camera. “Bachelorette party, here we come!”
