‘Bachelor in Paradise’: Teddi Wright and Andrew Spencer Could Be Setting Themselves Up for Love
Teddi Wright was an early frontrunner during Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor, as she received the first impression rose. But late into the season, Clayton chose to send her home. More recently, she mentioned she might have an interest in Andrew Spencer from Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette. Could they meet up on Bachelor in Paradise?

Teddi Wright received the first impression rose from Clayton Echard on The Bachelor, as they had a clear connection from the beginning. Unfortunately, their connection fizzled out — but Bachelor Nation fans still want to see more of Teddi.
More recently, she talked about men she’s attracted to from Bachelor Nation. And Andrew Spencer from Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette came up. “There [are] so many men [from Bachelor Nation] that I think are cute,” Teddi told Us Weekly. “I didn’t watch Michelle [Young]’s season, which I think puts me a little bit behind with them.”
“Andrew Spencer is someone that I think is cute, but I don’t know him at all,” she added. “I think he’s just the definition of joy. Like, when you see him, he’s just so joyful and I love that. He’s so funny. I love a guy that’s funny, and he’s very attractive.”

Is Andrew Spencer single in 2022? When he left Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette, he seemed open to reconnecting with her. But it sounds like he’s currently single, as his cousin, Clay Harbor, tweeted in favor of Teddi Wright and Andrew getting together.
“Sooo Teddy [sic] I have this cousin … #TheBachelor,” Clay tweeted back in January 2022.
Us Weekly reports Teddi’s open to connecting with Andrew as well.
As for Andrew, it seems he’s well-aware of what Teddi’s been talking about. He tweeted in response to Teddi’s funny admission about Clayton Echard’s brother during the “Women Tell All.” Teddi explained Clayton’s brother slid into her DMs. “Moms just called me thinking I was the one who slid in DMs,” Andrew tweeted.
To that, a fan asked Andrew if he did slide into her DMs. He then responded with a GIF of Barack Obama saying, “Not really. Maybe. It’s classified.”
Will Teddi Wright and Andrew Spencer date on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Season 8?
With the light flirtation seemingly going on from Teddi Wright and Andrew Spencer, could they date on Bachelor in Paradise? The Bachelor in Paradise Season 8 cast hasn’t officially been announced. But Teddi seems like a likely contender — and there’s a good chance Andrew could show up as well.
Andrew was open to joining the season 7 cast, but scheduling conflicts made him unable to hit the beach. “I didn’t get to go on Paradise,” he told Extra at the time. “I had to fly back to Austria. I’m definitely in the ballpark to fall in love.” With season 8 on the horizon, we imagine he might make time for the show — especially if Teddi will join the cast.
Some fans suspect Teddi might get picked to become the next lead for The Bachelorette, though. In this case, the two won’t date in Paradise. PopSugar reports Teddi wore a black dress the night of the “Women Tell All.” In the recent past, the woman wearing black was a sign they’d get their shot at becoming the next lead. Hannah Brown, Michelle Young, and Katie Thurston all wore black.
If Teddi does become the Bachelorette, perhaps Andrew will make a special appearance. We’ve certainly seen it happen before!
