There’s no denying The Bachelorette Season 17 Episode 4 was filled with drama. Katie questioned contestant Thomas Jacobs, wondering whether he was really there for the right reasons. Then midway through the new episode, co-host Tayshia Adams revealed her ex, Blake, arrived for a shot at love with Katie.

Naturally, Katie was floored by Blake’s return to the Bachelor franchise. She briefly spoke with Blake on social media. However, it seems the relationship didn’t go beyond a few compliments. Whatever the case, the two reality stars had an honest conversation in The Bachelorette Season 17.

Katie pointed out that she was dealing with drama and deciding who was there for the right reasons. So she questioned Blake, as he previously pursued Tayshia and Clare Crawley. Then Blake shared how he truly felt, revealing he was serious about Katie.

“I promise you that if it came down to the end and we connected the way that I think we might, we would be engaged at the end of this,” Blake said.

In the end, Katie wanted to take some time to decide Blake’s fate in The Bachelorette Season 17. But she hinted that she wanted to give the contestant a chance when speaking with producers.

“I really do think Blake is being sincere by being here,” Katie said. “It’s a huge decision to have Blake come into the house. I have strong connections that are already forming, and it would kill me to feel that those were disrupted if I chose to bring in Blake.

As The Bachelorette Season 17 Episode 4 continued, so did the drama surrounding Thomas. Katie’s suitors started to express their concerns. Then at one point, Thomas spoke with the bachelorette alone to defend his character. But at the final rose ceremony, Katie called out the contestant for using her and sent him home

Meanwhile, it seems Katie chose to give her final rose of the night to Blake. Following the ceremony, Katie went to Blake’s room. Apparently, the sudden decision came as a surprise to Blake because he answered the door completely naked. But after he got dressed, Katie revealed she was ready to follow her gut and invited Blake to the house.

“Given where things are at and where if you wanna stay, I’d like you to join and see if this becomes something,” Katie said.

According to the preview, there will be some tension upon Blake’s arrival. Frontrunner Greg Grippo even noted that Blake is a “big” contender. But whatever happens, it seems there are plenty of storylines left to be told.

When speaking with Variety ahead of The Bachelorette Season 17 Week 4, Tayshia hinted that a lot happens before Katie’s “I’m done” moment highlighted in the previews.
