[Spoiler alert: The Bachelorette Season 16.] After a whirlwind of rumors within the past few weeks, it looks like The Bachelorette might be done filming with Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams. The two leads recently popped up on Instagram, indicating the season has wrapped. But even so, nothing appeared out of the ordinary for what’s bound to be the most dramatic season — ever.

‘The Bachelorette’ Season 16 leads are reportedly Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams

A lot has happened since Crawley was announced as the next bachelorette in March 2020. At the time, the Sacramento hairstylist was ready to embark on her new journey. However, production was postponed until July due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

When Crawley resumed production for The Bachelorette Season 16, viewers thought they would receive a traditional season, despite a few safety protocols and a new filming location at the La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs. But in early August, multiple outlets claimed Adams will replace Crawley two weeks into the season.

According to E! News, Crawley fell in love with one of her contestants. So Adams was brought in to finish the season. Though both women will still tell their love stories when The Bachelorette airs on ABC.

“The producers have told her that the season will still lead with Clare and her short-lived journey, and will show Clare falling in love with one of her suitors,” a source told the publication. “Clare will then conclude her journey and announce that Tayshia is the lead.”

On Aug. 30, host Chris Harrison revealed he returned home on his Instagram Story, possibly indicating The Bachelorette was done filming. Then on Sept. 3, Bachelor Nation spoiler king Reality Steve noted production wrapped, as many contestants were “back on their phones.” The blogger also hinted some cast members were already “hitting up women inside & outside the franchise.”

Regardless, both Crawley and Adams returned to Instagram within the past week. On Aug. 31, Crawley posted on the social media platform for the first time since early July. And of course, it highlighted the new Bachelorette promo. The 39-year-old also posted from the Midtown Farmers Market in Sacramento on Sept. 5.

Adams has given no indication that she will appear on The Bachelorette Season 16. On Sept. 4, Adams celebrated her 30th birthday via her Instagram Story. That said, she has yet to post on her feed. And naturally, without any official promo featuring Adams, fans are waiting for more news.

For the time being, Bachelor Nation viewers will have to be patient. The Bachelorette Season 16 premiere will be released on Tuesday, Oct. 13. New episodes will also air at the 8 p.m. ET slot, per usual.

Now, if you can’t wait a whole month to see Crawley and Adams, you can still get your fix through old seasons. On Sept. 7, The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever! will recap Juan Pablo Galavis’ season, which is Crawley’s first introduction to the franchise. The full season is also available to watch on Hulu.

Meanwhile, Colton Underwood’s season and Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 — which feature Adams — will not be part of The Greatest Seasons. But both seasons are available on HBO Max. So happy watching. We’ll see you in October.
