‘The Barefoot Contessa’ Ina Garten has two different recipes for roast chicken

Garten’s roasted chicken game is on such a different level that she has two recipes for this delicious dish. First, her Perfect Roast Chicken recipe is what her husband Jeffrey requests every Friday night.

After an hour-and-a-half in the oven, the “roasting rack” of onions, carrots, and fennel turns into a yummy side dish. For a different flavor, Garten also has a recipe for lemon and garlic roasted chicken that’s made with bacon.

Make sure to have ‘good mayonnaise’ on hand to make the Caesar Club Sandwich

When you want chicken for lunch instead of dinner, The Barefoot Contessa still has you covered. Garten’s five-star recipe for a Caesar Club Sandwich is super easy and takes just 15 minutes of prep.

You’ll need bone-in, skin-on chicken breasts and pancetta to make this sandwich. From your pantry (or fridge) you’ll grab some kosher salt, black pepper, garlic, parsley, anchovy paste, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, “good olive oil,” and “good mayonnaise.”

To make the sandwich, the recipe calls for ciabatta bread, baby arugula, sun-dried tomatoes, and shaved Parmesan cheese.

‘The Barefoot Contessa’ has a restaurant-quality Fried Chicken Sandwich recipe

Who needs Chick-Fil-A or Popeye’s when you have Garten’s recipe for Fried Chicken Sandwiches? This is a beginner-level recipe that feeds six, but you will need quite a few ingredients and a lot of time. This is because you’ll need to marinate the chicken for at least eight hours before cooking.

There’s also one extra step that takes this sandwich to another level. In addition to frying the chicken, you’ll also need to make Garten’s homemade Buttermilk Herb Mayo. That recipe includes Hellmann’s mayonnaise, buttermilk, white wine vinegar, scallions, parsley, chives, thyme, kosher salt, and black pepper.
