‘Below Deck’: Captain Lee Plans To Rock Maui Jim Sunglasses This Season and Reveals His Favorite Styles
A spokesperson for Maui Jim shared that Rosbach favors Kami, World Cup, Mavericks, Onshore, and Kawika styles. “Maui Jim sunglasses are great for on the water, as they’re made with the brand’s proprietary PolarizedPlus2 lenses, which blocked out all glare and harmful UV,” according to the spokesperson.
Rosbach previously shared why he loves the brand. “I love my Maui Jim’s, it’s the only way that I brighten my day,” he told Showbiz Cheat Sheet. Maui Jim announced a partnership with Rosbach in Jan. 2020.
“Any seafaring adventurer understands the importance of quality polarized eye protection while on the water, with unrelenting sun, damaging UV rays, and frustrating glare. Wearing Maui Jim sunglasses improves depth perception and clarity, both of which are critical when navigating vessels in shallow or rocky waters,” the company shared in a press release.
Maui Jim sunglasses are the best, according to Captain Lee
Rosbach recently tweeted that Maui Jim sunglasses are definitely his favorite. “Maui Jim’s, they are the best,” he wrote on Nov. 4. Rosbach is known for his sunglasses after eight seasons of the show. Twitter recently created a “Captain Lee” emoji complete with sunglasses.
Rosbach also revealed his signature sunglasses always travel with him. Bravo posted a series of photos, showing what was in the crew members’ suitcases. “My guitar, epaulets, money, sunglasses, phone,” he shared along with a photo.
Indeed, Rosbach is often filmed greeting the guests while wearing his sunglasses. Gabriella Schwager, CEO of Stars Marketing Group said Maui Jim sunglasses provide important eye protection while looking fashionable. “Captain Lee is stylish, classy, and looks great in shades, making him a perfect fit for Maui Jim,” she shared. “This is exactly what a yacht captain should be wearing, a luxury brand with the highest level of PolarizedPlus® Lens functioning technology.”
Captain Lee shared what he did during the quarantine
Rosbach opened up about the pandemic and how he remains positive. “Yes, there are a lot of positive silver linings I think,” he shared on the Maui Jim blog. “For starters, ‘honey do’ lists have been getting shorter. Right now, you have no reason to NOT do things around the house any more. Spending more time with my lovely bride Mary Anne has also been wonderful for me, since I do travel a lot normally. I also make sure to force myself to get up and go through my normal routine. It would be so easy to fall into a rut. I am not letting myself do that.”
He also shared what he looked forward to most when the pandemic ends. “That is easy, a good steak and a bottle of wine!” he said. “Being out, but still socializing properly. Not just having Zoom and computer meetings. They are great and needed right now, but you can’t get the full feeling when on the computer. We all need face to face meetings and socializing again.”
