Alli Dore from Below Deck Sailing Yacht admitted she became extremely concerned when the production team put down their cameras during the now infamous boat crash.

Dore recalled that she and Dani Soares were working in one of the guest cabins when the boat collided with the concrete dock. Both stews said they felt the impact. “And all the cameras went down,” Dore said during their weekly Pita Party Instagram video. “We were dead ship. All the lights went out, everything went down. We had never seen production put their cameras down before. And this was the first time. And that was terrifying. Because that meant it was a real, true emergency.”

Daisy Kelliher was worried when she saw the lines snapping

Daisy Kelliher was in the laundry room during the crash. “And I felt it,” she recalled. “But I didn’t think anything of it because Natasha [de Bourg] came into me and said we’re hitting the dock. The only reason I didn’t think we hit the dock is because we hit it earlier, and I was like, there’s no way in this f**king world, that we’ve hit the dock two days in a row.”

“So I didn’t react,” Kelliher added. “I thought, oh it must be something else. But I agree, watching it was hard. I think the lines snapping that was super scary. Lines snap all the time but it is seriously dangerous. And people lose their arms and legs.” She then backtracked and said that lines don’t snap all the time. “But it does happen,” she added.

“Seeing [Captain] Glenn’s [Shephard] reaction that was pretty hard to watch as well,” she recalled. “It must have been very frustrating for him.” Shephard is seen shouting curse words as the boat crashed into the dock.

Chief engineer Colin Macrae said the ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ crew still don’t know what happened

Chief engineer Colin Macrae, who was on board for the collision said the team still isn’t sure what happened when it came to the crash. He was in town running an errand during the first boat snafu. Not only did the boat push up against the dock, but it also lost all power. Macrae was tendered back to the sailing yacht after first mate Gary King got the generator started. But he could only stand by as the sailing yacht smashed into the dock.

“One of the craziest moments of my superyacht career was when we reversed straight into the dock, and it was all captured on tonight’s episode of Below Deck,” Macrae shared on Instagram prior to the episode. “To this day we have no idea what exactly went wrong. Which kinda sucks because if we knew why, we would be able to fix whatever went wrong. It’s like when your computer sometimes freezes without any warning or explanation. Just terrible luck I guess…”
