Captain Glenn Shephard from Below Deck Sailing Yacht teased that season 2 will have a twist that no one saw coming. During a YouTube discussion with Captain Lee Rosbach from Below Deck and Captain Sandy Yawn from Below Deck Mediterranean, Shephard left viewers with a big hint.

“I mean, it’s got a very interesting ending,” he said while smiling. “I can’t go into too much detail. It’s a bit unusual, but I think it ends on a real high note.” With only one charter left and tensions boiling “below deck,’ what direction could the season take? “It’s positive,” he added. “It’s not negative, but it’s unusual. It’s a bit strange, but it’s good. Well, you know, it was a great way to cap off a very, very exciting and fun season.”

The ‘Below Deck Sailing’ love triangle seems to be imploding

All’s well that ends well for Alli Dore, Gary King, and Sydney Zaruba? King has found himself in a tight and awkward situation when he first hooked up with Zaruba but had feelings for Dore. He tried to free himself of any romantic entanglement with Zaruba, despite the fact she made it clear she had feelings for him. He pursued Dore until finally, she kissed him.

However, when she learned that King and Zaruba had sex that fateful night, she pulled away from him. She knew Zaruba had feelings for King and felt that she could not pursue the relationship on the boat in good conscience. Unhappy with her decision, King decided to pursue Zaruba again – much to chief engineer Colin Macrae’s dismay.

“Talking to you is like a couple of monkeys on a seesaw,” Macrae advised King during the latest episode. “If you like Alli, don’t f**k Sydney. That’s all I’m gonna say.” Apparently, Macrae’s advice seems to fall on deaf ears. The preview shows that King ends up in the hot tub with Zaruba who is topless. King also issued an apology to Dore ahead of the episode.

“Tonight’s episode of #belowdecksailing is not one of my proudest moments,” he shared on Instagram. “I must admit that what I was doing was wrong and I realised it. No women should ever be treated like that, I’m glad we’ve worked through it. I’d like to apologise to @allidoreporfavor for my actions.”

Can the ‘Below Deck Sailing’ crew work together for one last charter?

The love triangle isn’t the only complexity on the boat. Dani Soares and Jean-Luc Cerza-Lanaux are in a boatmance that only seems to be heating up. She wants to settle down but is concerned because of their age difference.

Also, chief stew Daisy Kelliher and chef Natasha de Bourg are still not seeing eye to eye. De Bourg said she couldn’t cook when the boat was heeling over during a recent sail. As a result, food for the crew came out hours late and even the guests’ food was late. Kelliher worried that de Bourg couldn’t get it together before the final charter and confided in Macrae.
