Alli Dore from Below Deck Sailing Yacht is a new mother. She gave birth to her son River George Thompson on Aug. 26, before her original due date. She shared photos and videos of her newborn son, writing that she and boyfriend Benny Thomson are “proud of our strong little man.” Dore becomes the fourth crew member to become a mother, but the first one to give birth to a baby boy. She announced her pregnancy during the season 2 reunion, which shocked and surprised both fans and some cast members.

Alli Dore’s son arrived a little ahead of his due date

Dore said her son arrived prematurely but is healthy. “On 26th August at 5:17am we welcomed our little baby boy River George Thompson into the world,” she captioned a series of photos on Instagram. “He’s come a little prematurely but is doing better everyday. We are so proud of our strong little man. The last couple of weeks we faced challenges I never thought we’d have to it’s been really emotional but also the most special time in our lives because we have River at the end of it all. I’m so grateful to have @bennithompson by my side because I couldn’t have done this without him. Proud of our little family and counting the days until River gets to come home.”

Crew members reacted with words of love, especially the new moms. “The cutest little boy,” Dani Soares wrote. “Can’t wait to meet baby River. Lilly and I love your little family.” Hannah Ferrier from Below Deck Mediterranean added “He is so gorgeous honey!!!!!! Sending you love and always here if you need anything.” Daisy Kelliher added a string of hearts and Ashling Lorger from Below Deck shared her congratulations on the thread.

Hannah Ferrier started the ‘Below Deck’ baby boom

Baby fever began with Ferrier in Oct. 2020. Ferrier was the first crew member to become a mother after being on the show and welcomed a baby girl. But then Soares surprised fans when she went public with her pregnancy. She had moved to Australia and told Showbiz Cheat Sheet she looked forward to having play dates with Ferrier and her daughter.

“We’ve talked a little bit,” Soares said in May about being in touch with Ferrier, weeks before her daughter was born. “She’s been on holiday for a little while. But as soon as she’s back we’ll definitely catch up for a coffee or get to exchange those mommy stories.”

“I’m going to go see [Soares] tomorrow, to drop off a bunch of stuff,” Ferrier said after Soares gave birth to her daughter Lilly. “And to just like give her a little nap and I can take the baby for a bit. Let her wash her hair or something because it’s so weird when you’re used to the life that we live. Or lived … past tense for you honey.”

Alli Dore is the first crew member to welcome a son

Months after Soares gave birth, Tiffany Copeland from Below Deck Mediterranean Season 1 gave birth to a baby girl. But unlike Dore, Copeland shared that she went past her due date. “I’m past my due date. What day do you think she’s coming??” she tweeted a few days before she gave birth.
