Four-time competitor Janelle Pierzina, often regarded as one of the best contestants never to win, returned for Big Brother 22. However, her reputation preceded her, and she exited the house in Week 3. During an Instagram Live with former co-star Beau Beasley, Janelle revealed she initially declined the invitation to return because she knew she would quickly become a target. However, producers might have tricked her into coming back.

Janelle Pierzina placed third twice in ‘Big Brother’

In 2005, the Blonde Bombshell debuted on Big Brother 6 and quickly found herself on the block three times before her several competition wins took her to third place.

Janelle, who became a fan-favorite, returned for the following season, Big Brother 7: All-Stars. Although she almost instantly stood out as a target, the popular contestant made it to third place by winning a record-breaking nine competitions.

While she didn’t win, her unforgettable performance earned her the first America’s Favorite Houseguest award. The Blonde Bombshell returned for season 14 as a coach but quickly got evicted after the game turned individual.

After eight years, Janelle came back for her second all-stars season.

Janelle returned a fourth time for ‘Big Brother 22’

The four-time competitor returned alongside her close friend and ally from BB6 and 7, Kaysar Ridha. However, the two quickly became targets due to their impressive resumes.

Kaysar correctly assumed then-Head of Household Cody Calafiore wanted to target them and saved himself and Janelle by winning the first Safety Suite competition.

Although they remained off the radar for the following week, the allies were nominated together during the next HOH, with Janelle as the primary target.

She failed to win Power of Veto, resulting in her early elimination. The popular contestant is the only competitor to return four times and holds the record for most competitions won in a season.

Janelle says she initially declined the invitation to return

During a Nov. 13 Instagram Live with BB6 co-star Beau Beasley, Janelle spoke about her fourth and likely last time competing on the reality show. She claimed the producers contacted her about joining the cast in March, five months before BB22 premiered.

According to Janelle, she, BB10 champ Dan Gheesling, BB13 winner Rachel Reilly, BB16 champ Derrick Levasseur, and BB20 runner-up Tyler Crispen were among the first called.

They all declined the offer, but Tyler noted he decided to go through with it because his girlfriend and BB20 co-star Angela Rummans wanted him to. Janelle claimed she also initially chose not to return because she knew she would immediately become easy prey.

However, the four-time competitor noted the producers assured her they would put “other targets” in the house. As a result, Janelle agreed to return. Instead, the fan-favorite noted she was “very disappointed” to see the other competitors.

She thought she would compete against those she deemed bigger targets and better players such as two-time runner-up Paul Abrahamian, BB19 champ Josh Martinez and BB20 winner Kaycee Clark. Big Brother 23 returns next summer.
