[SPOILER ALERT: Spoilers for ‘Big Brother 22’ ahead.]

Janelle Pierzina, a Big Brother icon, is in danger of going home this week. Pierzina finds herself on the block with her friend Kaysar Ridha as fans’ dreams of a Pierzina-Ridha final two look pretty improbable. Despite both of them not wanting the other to go home, they are still trying to keep themselves safe. In fact, in Pierzina’s pitch to Cody Calafiore, she offered him a pretty meaningful personal item with hopes of staying in the house.

Janelle Pierzina and Cody Calafiore are working with different people in the ‘Big Brother’ house

Pierzina is in her fourth season of Big Brother after appearing on seasons six, seven, and 14. She ultimately made it to the final three in seasons six and seven but went out pretty early in Season 14.

Almost immediately this season, Pierzina began working with one of her close allies from Big Brother 6 and Big Brother 7 — Kaysar Ridha.

In Week 1 of this season, with Calafiore as Head of Household, Pierzina and Ridha were unsure if they were safe in the game. This led to them both playing in the Safety Suite competition. Ridha ultimately won, keeping himself safe for the week. He then gave Pierzina safety for the week as well, which then made them massive targets.

Calafiore ultimately nominated Kevin Campbell and Keesha Smith that week, and Smith eventually went home.

So far in the game, while Pierzina seems to really only have Ridha as an ally, Calafiore has appeared to be pretty close to Tyler Crispen, Nicole Franzel, Enzo Palumbo, and Dani Briones.

Crispen ultimately won the third HOH of the season. He then eventually nominated Pierzina and Ridha, putting both of them on the brink of elimination.

They both had an opportunity to save themselves, though, with the Power of Veto competition. Calafiore, however, won that comp, and Crispen kept the nominations the same.

This means that either Pierzina or Ridha will be evicted this week, leaving the other completely alone in the house.

Pierzina offers Cody Calafiore an irreplaceable personal item for safety

Pierzina and Ridha are now campaigning to their fellow houseguests, with hopes of keeping themselves in the game. In Pierzina’s pitch to Calafiore on Tuesday, which was seen on the Big Brother live feeds, she offered to trade him a pretty meaningful personal item for safety in the game.

While also saying that she would keep him safe next week in the event that she wins HOH, Pierzina said that she would let him hold on to her wedding band. This would also allow Calafiore to hold her to her word.

“Just hold on to my band, so you know that I’m legit,” Pierzina said, calling it collateral.

In response, Calafiore said, “Well, I’m not touching it, but I will definitely think about the gesture … What am I going to do, hold it hostage if you [put me on the block]?”

So, did the offer work? It is hard to tell. Calafiore said that he would think about keeping her safe this week while having her promise to keep him safe next week in mind. He, however, continued to refuse to take her wedding band despite Pierzina insisting that he does so.

Fans can see if Pierzina’s pitch worked when Big Brother airs on Wednesday at 8 p.m. and the eviction airs at 8 p.m. on Thursday.
