In 2014, Nicole Franzel and Cody Calafiore debuted on Big Brother 16. They’ve apparently remained in contact as they’ve noted their mothers still frequently communicate. Therefore, they teamed up when they both returned for BB22. Nicole, who already won season 18, admitted she would take forerunner Cody to the end and place second because of the “hefty” monetary prize that would come with it.

Nicole Franzel and Cody Calafiore teamed up early in ‘Big Brother 22’

On the second day of Big Brother 22, Nicole Franzel and Cody Calafiore, who previously worked against each other in season 16, decided to team up. The two promised to have each other’s backs but wanted to create alliances with other people for protection.

Memphis Garrett invited them into a six-person coalition he made during the first week, “The Committee,” which included Christmas Abbott, Tyler Crispen, and Dani Briones.

Cody and Nicole also had separate final two pacts as Cody had one with Enzo Palumbo and Memphis, whereas she created one with Dani and other former winner Ian Terry.

Additionally, Cody joined a majority alliance alongside Enzo Palumbo, Bayleigh Dayton, Da’Vonne Rogers, Tyler, and Dani named the Slick Six. Despite all the alliances they joined and created, the two only needed the dominant Committee to keep them safe.

Nicole barely survived triple eviction

For the first eight weeks, Nicole and Cody avoided the block mainly due to his and The Committee members’ multiple Head of Household wins, claiming all but one.

After “neighbor,” Dr. Will Kirby warned the houseguests to “think three steps ahead,” they currently assumed three people were leaving that week and began planning accordingly as the alliance would have to turn on each other.

Memphis became the first HOH and nominated Nicole alongside his target, David Alexander. Even though Tyler and Christmas tried to flip the vote and send the former winner packing, Enzo remained loyal and saved her.

The BB18 winner ended up on the block again during the second half of the triple, but the voting houseguests unanimously chose to evict Dani over her.

Nicole says she’s OK with placing second in ‘BB22’

The BB18 champ walked away with the HOH title in Week 10 and nominated Christmas alongside her target, Memphis. Although she knew she had a better chance of winning against Christmas if she took the BB19 finalist to the end, Nicole noted she would rather sit in the final two seats with either one of her Core Four allies, Enzo or Cody.

She also stated she wouldn’t mind placing second because it’s a “hefty” prize along with the guaranteed stipend they’re already receiving for competing.

Even though she believes Cody has played a better game than her and considers aligning with him her best move of the season, Nicole has insisted she would still take him to the end if she won the final HOH competition because she feels he deserves it. Big Brother 22: All-Stars airs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 8/7c on CBS.
