On Aug. 5, 2020, the highly anticipated second edition of All-Stars premiered. Although fans had long demanded another season with all returning players, many quickly lost interest in Big Brother 22 due to pre-gaming rumors, and a huge alliance that doesn’t include several fan-favorites has dominated the season.

All-Stars hasn’t included any comeback twist, and the houseguests recently endured an unprecedented triple eviction, leaving six players to kick off Week 9. After the jammed-packed event, host Julie Chen Moonves announced the anticipated finale date.

‘Big Brother 22’ featured all returning houseguests

Toward the end of July 2020, CBS announced they would return with its first All-Stars season in nearly 15 years.

The returning players included BB19 finalist Christmas Abbott, BB21 houseguest David Alexander, BB21 finalist Nicole Anthony, BB8 runner-up Dani Briones, BB16 runner-up Cody Calafiore, BB11 finalist Kevin Campbell, BB20 runner-up Tyler Crispen, BB20 star Bayleigh Dayton, BB18 winner Nicole Franzel, BB10 runner-up Memphis Garrett, BB12 Enzo Palumbo, two-time finalist Janelle Pierzina, BB7 star Kaysar Ridha, fan-favorite houseguest Da’Vonne Rogers, BB10 star Keesha Smith, and BB14 winner Ian Terry.

The Committee has dominated ‘Big Brother 22’

Cody won the first Head of Household competition and positioned himself well with the other houseguests. He also made final two pacts with Nicole Franzel, Enzo Palumbo, and Memphis Garrett.

Additionally, Cody joined a majority alliance created by the latter, “The Committee,” including themselves, Tyler, Christmas, and Dani. The BB16 runner-up further insulated himself by creating separate not-as-important alliances with several other houseguests.

However, he didn’t need to as The Committee went on to dominate all but one of the Head of Household competitions to date in the season. They systematically eliminated the biggest threats to their game, Janelle and Kaysar, as well as their allies, who had an inkling of the huge alliance controlling every vote.

When outsider Da’Vonne Rogers won the Power of Veto, they had the numbers to save Tyler and successfully avoided the exposure of their alliance. As a result of their dominance and pre-gaming rumors, fans are rooting against them and for an outlier to win HOH to change the dynamics.

‘Big Brother 22’ finale date is Oct. 28

During Week 9, the houseguests had to undergo a triple eviction for the first time in BB (U.S.) history. After sending a third player to the jury, the competitors had to face off for the title of Head of Household, immediately followed by nominations, the Power of Veto, and an eviction.

Then, the houseguests had to do it all over again, resulting in a total of three competitors leaving in one night, slimming the cast down to six players. Once the remaining houseguests made it through, host Julie Chen Moonves informed them no one would return to the game.
