[SPOILER ALERT: Spoilers ahead for Big Brother 23 Week 6.]

Six-person alliance The Cookout has made it to the jury phase in what’s shaping out to become a historic season. However, a possible house flip might make one of “the six” the first jury member.

Kyland Young backdoored Britni D’Angelo

For Week 6, the houseguests could use their money to bet on someone to win the Power of Veto competition as they would earn a second due to the High Rollers Room twist.

Concerned about the powers and only having a handful of players eligible to put on the block due to his alliances, Head of Household Kyland Young initially nominated voluntary pawn Derek Frazier and target Claire Rehfuss.

He won the second POV, correctly voting for Alyssa Lopez to win the competition, and used it to remove his target and backdoor Britni D’Angelo, considering her the biggest threat to his game.

Following his nominations, Britni began campaigning to stay in the house, upset because the two made a deal for protection.

Not wanting to campaign against close ally and Joker’s teammate Derek F. also referred to as Big D, she told others she helped their game because she’s shown her ability to win competitions.

Additionally, she noted they would become the perennial pawn if she went home.

Claire Rehfuss and Derek Xiao want to flip and keep her

Britni also revealed Kyland went against their deal, painting him as a liar to houseguests, namely Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss, who already felt they couldn’t trust him anymore.

Although Derek X. and Claire’s pairs are Cookout members Hannah Chaddha and Tiffany Mitchell, respectively, the two have gotten closer throughout the week as they seemingly figured out the large alliance.

Additionally, after listening to Britni’s campaign, they felt it would benefit them for Britni to stay, fearing anyone who sits next to Big D on the block in the future would go home.

Derek X. also pointed out that Derek F. seems not to have to campaign, calling it “dangerous.” After hearing about the potential flip, Tiffany warned Kyland.

She explained she thinks they should send Claire home sooner than later as she’s realized her ally has gotten closer to Derek X., something Hannah also noticed.

Derek Frazier could become the first Cookout member out of ‘Big Brother 23’

Referring to Claire as “more aware” and Derek X. as “aloof,” Tiffany pointed out her ally has made “valid points” as to why keeping Britni benefits them and has noticed Derek X. is listening.

Additionally, she correctly identified the two no longer trust Kyland as they once did. Hannah also saw Claire and Derek X.’s bond, pointing out that they have started to catch “on to things.”

While Hannah and Tiffany want to continue hiding the Cookout, Azah Awasum and Xavier Prather are ready to draw the lines. When Azah told Hannah that everyone in the Cookout had to vote for Derek F. to stay, even if it “shows their cards,” the youngest cast member disagreed because Claire and Derek X. are growing suspicious.

Additionally, she pointed out they have the numbers. However, Azah noted that Big D has a chance of going home if Tiffany, Claire, and Derek X. vote to evict him, as Britni would only need two more votes.

Xavier shared the same sentiment when speaking to Kyland, claiming Hannah and Tiffany cannot control their pawns as they’re trying to flip the house.

Therefore, he wants to draw the line as they have the numbers and ability to beat everyone left. Big Brother 23 airs Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays on CBS.
