Big Brother 23 features the most diverse cast yet. There is also an alliance to have the first Black winner, and they’ve managed to stay under the radar. But Claire Rehfuss recently joked about becoming the last white person in the house and even asked about another alliance.

[Spoiler alert: Spoilers for Big Brother 23 live feeds that aired on Aug 15!]

The Cookout has been dominating ‘Big Brother 23’

Big Brother cast more Black for season 23 than any other season. So they decided to come together to have the first Black person to win this season.

Derek Frazier, Kyland Young, Tiffany Mitchell, Azah Awasum, Xavier Prather, and Hannah Chaddha agreed never to target each other. But they also avoided meeting up to avoid suspicion.

They have been successful so far, and everyone has made it to jury. But now that the numbers are dwindling, some of the other houseguests are talking.

Alyssa Lopez, Derek Xiao, Claire, Sarah Beth Steagall, and Britini D’Angelo are still in the game. Claire joked she might end up as the last white person left.

Derek X. and Claire were lying down talking to each other on Aug. 15. “You know a crazy realization I had today is? There’s not a single white male in the house anymore,” Derek X. told Claire. “You know what I really realized is?” Claire asked. “All the first captains are gone,” Derek X. answered. “Also, everyone that’s gone has been white,” Claire added. “I know I didn’t want to say that, but [laughs],” Derek X. said.

Claire teased that she started doing the math, given Britini is the target this week. She said she might be the only white person left. They both started laughing. “Is there another alliance in this house?” Claire asked, laughing.

“Will I go far because people are gonna be like ‘We can’t vote out the only white person left’?” she asked, laughing. Derek X. joked that he has even been suspicious. He then returned to Claire, mentioning another alliance.

“If that is true, best game ever! Honestly, so many props. Never saw it coming,” Derek yelled. He quipped that there must be “fake arguments” to hide the alliance.

Derek X. and Claire agreed it’s “incredible” and “cool” that whoever wins this season could be a woman, person of color, or both. Claire noted that casting well leads to a different outcome in the game.

Derek X. figured if there was an alliance, they would have had to make it Day 1 and then never meet again. Which he claimed would be “masterful.” Claire agreed that would have to be the only way. “How do I know you’re not in it?” she joked with Derek X.

It’s funny that Derek X. and Claire are basically right. But sadly for them, they might be too trusting to take their own jokes seriously to try to save their game.
