‘Big Brother’ Spoiler: Houseguests Scramble With an Unexpected HOH Win
Big Brother 23 has been going smoothly for a powerful alliance. But the newest episode had an unexpected Head of Household (HOH) win that has people scrambling.

‘Big Brother 23’ has its first juror and a new HOH
The Aug. 19 episode started with Derek Frazier and Britini D’Angelo on the block. There was a vote, and Britini was evicted with a vote of 7-1.
The houseguests then competed for HOH, with Kyland Young not being able to play. They all had to walk through a balance beam maze and only had 45 seconds to finish it. In the end, Sarah Beth Steagall won HOH.
This is the first woman to win HOH all season. She is also one of the few houseguests outside of The Cookout left. She has been very close with Kyland throughout the season. But her moves are pretty unpredictable because she doesn’t have that many allies.
Houseguests scramble with an unexpected HOH win
There is now a question of who Sarah Beth will go after. A few weeks ago, she really wanted Hannah Chaddha on the block, with Christian Birkenberger’s HOH. Hannah did go on the block next to Whitney Williams, but it was Whitney who was evicted.
The live feeds after the episode showed some of the houseguests scrambling because of Sarah Beth’s win. “We need Ky in our three,” Derek Xiao told Tiffany Mitchell. “Why in the f–ck wouldn’t he already know what she’s gonna do, though?” Tiffany asked. “If he’s so close to her, why we gotta talk to him now? I know what you would do. You know what I would do. We know what Claire [Rehfuss] would do. They talk more than us. Why wouldn’t he already know what her plan is?”
Tiffany said she thinks Sarah Beth lied to her and Claire last night, saying she would put up Azah Awasum and Derek F. She said she asked what would happen if the veto was used, and Sarah Beth said she would put up Hannah. Tiffany went on to say she thinks that really means herself or Hannah would go up. Derek X also believes he could go up.
Both of them agreed they have to be on Kyland’s good side. Tiffany pointed out this is why they all had to vote together this week and said they would probably try to get Derek X to use his BB Bucks. They also talked about being Have-Nots with Kyland.
Azah also talked to Tiffany and said she had no clue where Sarah Beth will aim. They started talking about using BB Bucks to get a shot at winning an advantage. Tiffany said she doesn’t have money since she already played last week. But there is another vote to give them more. It looks like The Cookout will be threatened this week, and certain houseguests are trying to strategize for that.
