Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo met during ‘Big Brother 18’

After placing seventh in Big Brother 16, Michigan native Nicole Franzel returned for BB18 for another shot at the prize. First-time houseguest Victor Arroyo quickly teamed up with a couple of others and formed a pact to target the returning players.

However, the veterans aligned with several rookies, and they eliminated Arroyo during Week 2. He returned by winning the battle-back and won three Head of Household competitions before his final eviction in Week 12.

Although Arroyo seemingly had a thing for Franzel while in the house, she had a showmance with Corey Brooks. Following the Sept. 2016 finale, the BB18 champ visited him in Dallas, but they abruptly ended their relationship.

While the two have yet to give an official reason, many fans think she left him because he posted a picture with conservative commentator Tami Lahren.

Franzel and Arroyo are currently engaged

Following the BB18 finale, Arroyo and Franzel stayed in touch until their friendship turned romantic a year later. He explained the two hung out while they were in New York for the premiere of BB19 and decided to take their relationship to the next step.

During a Sept. 2017 episode of their podcast Coco Caliente, she revealed the two began dating and had been for the past three months. Arroyo proposed to the BB18 champ during a Sept. 2018 visit to the Big Brother house, and a few former houseguests returned to celebrate with them.

After the engagement, the couple settled in a place together in her hometown of Ubly, where he began working as a cop, and she became a social media influencer. Two years later, Franzel returned for BB22: All-Stars, and she seemed in a prime position to win the game again.

However, her ally Cody Calafiore blindsided her at final three by casting the sole vote to evict her. Initially, she and Arroyo planned a Turks and Caicos destination wedding a few months after returning home in December 2020. However, they postponed it to May 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Franzel and Arroyo announce their first pregnancy

On Jan. 10, 2021, Franzel and Arroyo posted a picture to Instagram in bed surrounded by junk food and candy with a sonogram lying on their laps.

Alongside the sonogram announced the expected birth date of July 2021 for their newest “sidekick.”
