Big Brother 23 already stood out from previous seasons because of the casting. But the season is also playing out differently. Christian Birkenberger pointed out white men were evicted first, and Whitney Williams reacted to it.

[Spoiler alert: Spoilers for Big Brother 23 live feeds on Aug 12!]

Derek Xiao won the Head of Household (HOH) competition, and he made a big move. He nominated Sarah Beth Steagall and Britini D’Angelo. Derek X was fine with Sarah Beth leaving, but his bigger plan was getting someone off the block and replacing them with Christian.

That’s because Christian has been his main competition as a comp beast. He has won every competition he’s been in so far. Derek X also figured Christian would go after him soon because of this.

The Aug. 11 episode showed Britini winning the veto competition and planning to take herself off the block. Derek X revealed to Alyssa Lopez that he would be replacing her with Christian. Of course, Alyssa tried to convince him this was bad for his game. She also told Christian, and he was upset but tried to make a final plea to Derek X to stay off the block. The episode ended before showing what Derek X decided to do.

The live feeds have already revealed Derek X decided to put Christian on the block. It looks like Christian has accepted his fate that he’s going home by now.

Christian and Alyssa were talking about who is being targeted in the game on Aug. 12. “Every single white dude is gone. The first five people that leave are white,” he told her. “There will be three white people left. No white males.” Alyssa responded with, “Mhmm.” He continued, “Very diverse season, which I’m sure is being received very well…which is good.”

Christian said this pretty matter of factly, but it was obvious he was also sad about going home. The Twitter account Big Brother Daily tweeted about this exchange, and some fans wondered why Christian was mentioning this. But former houseguest, Whitney Williams reacted to it in the comments.

“I’m still salty that he evicted me lol, BUT I will say.. He definitely meant it when he said ‘which is good’ while speaking on the diversity in our cast. He’s just upset that he’s most likely going home, I wouldn’t look into it as anything other than that,” Whitney tweeted.

This will be a very diverse jury. Part of that has to do with The Cookout (Derek Frazier, Tiffany Mitchell, Xavier Prather, Hannah Chaddha, Kyland Young, and Azah Awasum) working together. They agreed to never put each other on the block and to keep each other safe by voting for them to stay if they do. So far, none of the members of The Cookout have touched the block.
