How Much Was Billie Eilish Paid for Vogue 2021 Photoshoot?

Billie Eilish has an impressive net worth thanks to her incredible music, and she's now causing a stir that's not related to her work. She posed for British Vogue in clothing she doesn't typically wear. So, how much was she paid for the Vogue photoshoot? Here are estimates on how much she could've made, if she made anything at all.

Billie Eilish’s Vogue 2021 photoshoot is causing a major stir. The young singer is known for her ethereal voice and fresh beats, and she’s also notorious for wearing baggy clothing and concealing her body from fans. Now, she’s changing it up a bit — and fans are loving it. So, how much was she paid for that British Vogue photoshoot? And how does it affect Billie Eilish’s net worth overall?

Billie Eilish’s Vogue cover and photoshoot is stirring up conversation

No one could’ve expected Billie Eilish’s Vogue 2021 photoshoot, as it seemingly goes against what she’s stood for in the past. We’re all for personal growth and making new, personal decisions, though — and Eilish’s photoshoot seems ultra-empowering for the 19-year-old star.

According to Vogue, the shoot was entirely Eilish’s idea. While she notes her body was a major source of depression for her in her younger years, she’s ready to evolve and change as she wishes.

“My thing is that I can do whatever I want,” she said. “It’s all about what makes you feel good. If you want to get surgery, go get surgery. If you want to wear a dress that somebody thinks that you look too big wearing, f*ck it – if you feel like you look good, you look good.”

Eilish also noted many might think she’s hypocritical for the photoshoot, but that’s OK. “Suddenly you’re a hypocrite if you want to show your skin, and you’re easy and you’re a slut and you’re a whore,” she added. “If I am, then I’m proud. Me and all the girls are hoes, and f*ck it, y’know? Let’s turn it around and be empowered in that.”

So, was Billie Eilish Vogue 2021 photoshoot something she was paid to do? While models are paid to appear in Vogue, it seems there’s a good chance Eilish wasn’t paid at all.

According to The Cut, model Anna Jagodzinska was paid just $125 for a shoot with French Vogue, and she was paid $250 for American Vogue. But this was over a decade ago, and this might’ve been outlier of a case. Study.com notes regular models for Vogue can earn $18,000 to $300,000 per year, and less-popular models may only get $2,500 per each appearance. So, it seems the popularity of the model or celebrity matters in regards to payment.

But several folks talked about celebrities appearing in photoshoots for magazines via Quora. Many suggested celebrities are often not paid for the shoots. Instead, the PR they get from the shoot itself is enough to make it worth their time and efforts. This could certainly be the case with Eilish.

There’s also no doubt she wasn’t just doing the photoshoot to pay the bills. Billie Eilish’s net worth is already through the roof without her modeling.

Billie Eilish’s net worth is incredibly impressive with or without the Vogue 2021 photoshoot. Celebrity Net Worth notes she’s worth an impressive $25 million.

Eilish started gaining momentum back in 2016 thanks to SoundCloud, though she later signed with Interscope Records. Her 2019 single, “Bad Guy,” topped the Billboard 100, launching her to fame. In January 2020, she won Best Album, Best Record, Best Song and Best New Artist at the Grammys, pushing her success even more.

Now, we’re learning even more about the young musician. Apple paid Eilish for a documentary about her. Because Apple paid her for this content, there’s also the possibility a similar deal could be struck with Vogue — we are not sure. But we’re looking forward to seeing if more music (and modeling) is in her future.

Billie Eilish’s agency Paradigm Talent Agency did not return a request for comment by the time of publication.
