‘Bling Empire’: Kelly Mi Li and Andrew Gray Officially Split After Five Years Together
Bling Empire quickly became a hit on Netflix as it showcased the real lives of some of L.A.’s richest people of Asian decent. Throughout the course of the season, fans got a firsthand look at just how tumultuous Kelly Mi Li and Andrew Gray’s relationship was. Though the two stayed together throughout the season, they have recently called it quits.

Mi Li and Gray’s relationship seemed OK at the beginning of season 1 but as the season went on, it was clear that there were problems brewing between the two. On their trip to Paris, the issues in their relationship were front and center when Mi Li decided to let Gray sleep off his jetlag and go shopping without him. Gray then called her and proceeded to yell at her through the phone.
When they got back from Paris, Mi Li’s friends encouraged her to leave Gray. After some intense group therapy sessions, Mi did eventually leave Gray, however the two got back together later. The show was filmed in 2019 and by January 2020, the two were back together.
“We’re working things out,” Kelly told Entertainment Tonight at the time. “We’re probably in a better place than we’ve ever been in our relationship. Throughout our six years of ups and downs, I think we’re in the best place we’ve ever been, just understanding each other better. Continue to go to therapy, continue to work things out, ‘cause at the end of the day, we know that true love is hard to find and the love we have for each other is unconditional.”
She did lie to her friends about getting back together with Gray for a while.
“Me and Andrew’s relationship is so up and down, we’ve been on a roller coaster, and for my friends, I think, like, [I’m] a little bit embarrassed in a sense, where I hate to have them go on this roller coaster with me,” she said. “It’s so emotional all the time. So, I feel a little guilty.”

Yesterday, both Mi Li and Gray took to Instagram to announce their split.
“Over the past 5 and half years, Andrew and I have shared some incredible times together,” Mi wrote under an Instagram post. “I have a tremendous amount of respect and love for him and will always cherish the memories we made. However, we have made the difficult decision to officially separate at this point in our lives. We are both so grateful to have experienced a relationship that allowed us to grow and learn so much.”
“Moving forward, Andrew and I plan to continue working on becoming the best versions of ourselves individually. We want to express our appreciation for your continued support and thank you for allowing us to share our journey. We kindly ask for you to respect our privacy during this time of transition.”
Gray posted an almost identical caption on Instagram.
Lots of fans have commented their opinions on the post and even Mi Li and Gray’s costars have added their two cents.
“You’re such a strong women,” Bling Empire star Kim Lee wrote. “Sending lots of love to you both.”
