Zac Efron’s new show Down to Earth is true proof of his versatility. Although it looked like Efron was going to turn into a serious movie star after his High School Musical days, his new endeavor proves he’s not above passion projects, even if they won’t necessarily put him in the running for an Oscar.

Brad Pitt, on the other hand, is at the other end of his career. He made enough of a name for himself to get any role he wants, and now only takes roles that he likes. His latest project, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, won him Best Supporting Actor at the Academy Awards.

Despite the fact that Pitt has never done anything like Down to Earth, Efron seems poised to follow Pitt’s footsteps, career-wise. Their career trajectory isn’t the only thing these two stars have in common.

Zac Efron and Brad Pitt use baby wipes instead of showering

Both stars are known for their rugged good looks, but apparently neither of them are fond of showering. It could be that they both have busy schedules and don’t have time to bathe every day.

Pitt prefers cleansing himself with baby wipes instead of using soap and water. Although it’s not the most conventional method of hygiene, Pitt looks good enough to get away with it.

Efron doesn’t like showering either, even after intense workouts. He also cleans up with baby wipes after hitting the gym. It seems like that could still leave him quite smelly, but none of his costars have complained publicly yet. That’s not the case for all stars.

Brad Pitt and Zac Efron aren’t the only celebs who forgo showers

It seems like baby wipes really work for Pitt and Efron, because there are no rumors about either star stinking up a set. Other celebrities do get called out for being overly odorous.

Matthew McConaughey apparently has a distinctive scent. He doesn’t wear any fragrance or even deodorant, because he doesn’t want to mask his natural smell. It’s so pungent that Kate Hudson bought him deodorant while they were working on a movie together. McConaughey refused to use it. Although he smells ripe, McConaughey has never said he’s averse to showers like Pitt and Efron.

Julia Roberts, on the other hand, has also admitted that she doesn’t take showers regularly. Her reasons are purer than Pitt and Efron’s, however. Roberts doesn’t shower often or even use deodorant in an effort to help the environment, according to a former bodyguard.

Other celebrities, like Orlando Bloom, have also been accused of not showering enough out of laziness. Bloom’s ex, Miranda Kerr, says the Lord of the Rings star was terrible at personal hygiene, and she had to ask him to wash his clothes and shower.

Are Zac Efron and Brad Pitt friends?

Brad Pitt’s Unconventional Hygiene Habit Is Also Totally Relatable

Pitt and Efron have likely met, but there’s no evidence that they’re good friends. It’s not clear if Efron got his baby wipe habit from Pitt, although the older actor is known for convincing others to give up showers. While working on Inglorious Basterds, Pitt convinced costar Eli Roth to use baby wipes instead of full showers.

Pitt probably isn’t the one who turned Efron on to the habit, but they do have a friend in common. Efron is buds with Leonardo DiCaprio, Pitt’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood costar.

Recently, Efron opened up about a breakfast he had at DiCaprio’s home. The High School Musical star claims he asked DiCaprio “a billion questions” about fame, and DiCaprio was happy to answer every one. It’s possible that somehow Pitt’s baby wipe trick got passed to Efron through DiCaprio.
