The latest season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way is one of the buzziest shows currently in syndication. Originally created in early 2019 as a spinoff of the popular series 90 Day Fiancé, the show is a drama-heavy series that often features some of the most unlikely couples ever to grace the small-screen. One such couple is Brittany and Yazan. Currently, their romance is playing out on television, however, many savvy viewers have noticed some disparities between what is happening on the show and what is being featured on Brittany’s social media pages.

What is ’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’ about?

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way debuted in May 2019. Currently, the show is in its second season and focuses on the American half of a couple and what goes down when they permanently move to their partner’s home country. From unkind relatives and unsupportive friends to legal issues and differences in lifestyle, there is always plenty of drama between the featured couple.

The second season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way premiered in June, in the midst of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Perhaps partially due to the pandemic, fans have been tuning in more than ever to watch the new crop of couples crash and burn. Ultimately, this season could prove to be one of the most buzzworthy in the show’s history, as one couple, in particular, seems to be grabbing the attention of both critics and viewers.

Brittany and Yazan are a controversial couple

When the new season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way premiered, fans were introduced to Brittany and Yazan. Brittany, a model and social media influencer from Florida, seemed like the total opposite of Yazan, a conservative, understated man from Jordan. Brittany admitted on the show to have a history of dating much older men, and is an aspiring rapper, in addition to being a marketing professional.

Yazan and Brittany have been dealing with some pretty significant cultural differences on the show, and many fans have speculated that their relationship was doomed from the start. Some fans have even accused the two of faking their romance, stating that it seems as though Brittany is only with Yazan for “clout,” a ploy to get more social media followers. Brittany Banks does have a very active social media presence — in fact, it is her YouTube channel that is causing many fans to speculate that she and Yazan might have already put the kibosh on their relationship.

On the most recent episodes of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Brittany arrived in Jordan, to explore her relationship with Yazan. The two clashed from the start, with Brittany claiming that Yazan cheated on her. Still, it looks as though what is happening in the show definitely isn’t mirroring real life. On Brittany’s YouTube channel, the social media star posted a brand-new video update in late May, causing fans to think that she is back in the United States, and not, in fact, with Yazan.

In her most recent video, Brittany talks about how to create boundaries and practice self-love, a loaded topic for anyone currently starring in a reality show about dating and relationships. While Brittany doesn’t directly mention Yazan (and cannot reveal the current status of her relationship with him), she does talk about how to avoid toxic people and how to expect the most from yourself instead of from others. If, in fact, Brittany is in the United States, it would appear as though her relationship with Yazan is bound for disaster. There is one caveat, however, and that would be if Brittany filmed the video prior to the current season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way being filmed. Still, that seems unlikely. Fans will probably only realize the full truth as the show progresses, and possibly not even until the season finale.
