BTS released their diss track titled ā€œddaengā€

This K-pop group is known for its upbeat and uplifting releases, including ā€œDynamite,ā€ ā€œButter,ā€ and ā€œPermission to Dance.ā€ Theyā€™ve also released several diss tracks, some of which became favorites of fans worldwide.

That includes the song ā€œDdaeng,ā€ which debuted in 2018. This track was co-produced by BTSā€™ Suga and released in anticipation of the groupā€™s fifth anniversary on June 13. According to Billboard, ā€œan onomatopoeic word that emulates the sound of a ā€˜bellā€™ that is comparable to ā€œdingā€ in English, ā€˜ddaengā€™ often is used to represent a wrong answer.ā€

What BTS album is ā€˜Ddaengā€™ on?

Itā€™s a favorite song of many ARMYs. However, because this is technically not an officially released BTS song, ā€œDdaengā€ is not included on an album. It is also not available for streaming on music platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.Ā

That means to listen to live versions of this song, ARMYs have to head to YouTube. Some songs primarily featuring the rappers of BTS, though, are available on most major platforms, including ā€œOutro: Herā€ and ā€œAll Night.ā€

BTS has other diss tracks, performed by the ā€˜rap lineā€™

In the original recording, RM, J-Hope, and Suga are the three BTS members who performed this song. Other BTS idols, including V, Jungkook, Jimin, and Jin, sometimes take their turns rapping this diss track, especially when performing live for fans.

Over the years, BTS released diss tracks featuring the rappers. That includes ā€œUGHā€ off of Map of the Soul: 7 and ā€œOutro: Tearā€ from the album, Love Yourself: Tear. Thereā€™s also the ā€œCypher seriesā€ released over several years.

V often shares his love for BTSā€™ rap-related songs. The boy band let the singer rap a ā€œCypher pt.3ā€ solo stage for a Bangtan Bomb. The other members stood around V, only somewhat impressed.Ā

The rappers in this K-pop group also release solo music on occasions. For J-Hope, that includes the song ā€œChicken Noodle Soupā€ with Becky G.ā€ RM and Lil Nas X released the song ā€œSeoul Town Road.ā€Ā

The rapper, songwriter, and producer, Suga, released several albums under the stage name Agust D. He also premiered the track ā€œDaechwitaā€ and its corresponding music video.

ā€œItā€™s not a diss intended to diss. Rather than criticizing a specific someone, Iā€™m just expressing my self-confidence,ā€ he said, according to Elite Daily and a fan translation. Although he did add, ā€œIf it bothered you, thatā€™s your problem.ā€Ā

Music by BTS, including the Map of the Soul: Persona song ā€œMake It Right,ā€ is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and most major platforms.
