Megan Thee Stallion’s label allegedly tried to block the remix

Hours before the remix was confirmed, Variety reported that Megan Thee Stallion submitted a court filing claiming that her record label 1501 Certified Entertainment was attempting to stop the release of the “Butter” remix.

Variety then published an update on the case, writing, “According to legal documents obtained by Variety, a judge has ruled that Megan Thee Stallion is clear to release the remix of BTS’ ‘Butter’ on which she is featured.”

After a judge ruled in Megan Thee Stallion’s favor, Big Hit Music confirmed the remix will be released as scheduled. Megan Thee Stallion also shared news of the upcoming remix on her own social media accounts.

“@BTS_twt X Thee HotGirl Coach 8/27 YALL READY,” she tweeted.

In another tweet, Megan Thee Stallion wrote, “Y’all don’t even understand how excited I am.”
