After concluding their Permission to Dance On Stage – LA concerts in December 2021, BTS announced they planned to put on Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul in March 2022. On Feb. 15, BTS announced that Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul will take place on March 10, March 12, and March 13. The concerts will have an in-person audience and will also be held online.

BTS’ ‘Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul’ concerts will have an in-person audience

BTS’ last in-person concert in South Korea took place in 2019 and was called Love Yourself: Speak Yourself [The Final]. With the concerts, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook concluded their Love Yourself era.

Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul will be the septet’s first in-person concert in South Korea in over two years. The concerts will be held on March 10, March 12, and March 13.

According to a press release, “The concert will take place at the Seoul Olympic Stadium in-person in front of a live audience and will be streamed online.”

Fans will be able to watch a livestream of two of the concert dates, and another date will be streamed in movie theaters around the world.

A press release about Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul states, “The online live stream is available on March 10 and 13. The concert on March 12 will be broadcasted in cinemas worldwide through ‘Live Viewing’ event.”

The concert on March 10 will be held at 7 p.m. KST, and the concerts on March 12 and March 13 will both be held at 6 p.m. KST.

The band also put on ‘Permission to Dance On Stage – LA’

BTS began their Permission to Dance On Stage concert series with an online concert on Oct. 24, 2021. The septet then brought the show to Los Angeles and performed four sold-out shows at SoFi Stadium.

BTS performed Permission to Dance On Stage – LA on Nov. 27, Nov. 28, Dec. 1, and Dec. 2, 2021. The concert featured a similar setlist to the virtual Permission to Dance On Stage concert with some songs varying each night.

On the second night of Permission to Dance On Stage – LA, Megan Thee Stallion appeared as a surprise guest to perform “Butter.” Chris Martin of Coldplay appeared on the last night of the concert series to perform “My Universe” with BTS.

With Permission to Dance On Stage – LA, BTS became the first artist or band to sell out four nights at SoFi Stadium. BTS also set the record for the most tickets ever sold by a band or artist at the stadium.

In addition to putting on concerts in Seoul, fans can expect Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook to release a new album sometime in 2022. Big Hit Music confirmed an album will be released by the band in a statement in December 2021.

“BTS will be focusing on preparing for the concert and release of the new album that will mark the beginning of a ‘new chapter,’” Big Hit Music wrote in the statement. “They are preparing for a concert this coming March to connect and communicate with the fans in-person in Seoul.”
